Awful in all respects.

The location

The fact the bar and restaurant were closed during our stay, with no advance notice. The staff were obsequious about the situation regarding the closures. Our room was next to a store room with people making noises. We were given a note saying the bar closed at 4, however the lady serving drinks on the terrace refused to serve us at 2.30. We asked for a discount and the manager said as we booked through Booking.com she couldn’t give us a discount. So she said don’t use booking.com. We won’t again.

Very friendly and professional staff specially at the reception We enjoyed the room and the breakfast and decided to come back again on our last day in Cape Town. Fawwaz was so friendly, helpful and professional so we book via him again. He is a real asset to the hotel. 👍 Thapelo, Lilitha and Asa also assisted us professionally 👍 We kept our big luggage in the hotel from our first stay and came back few days after with no problem They offer us to have a quick shower as they could not give us late check out due to super full occupancy and our flight was close midnight. The breakfast was excellent. Good service and high quality food. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The luggage staff were also very helpful We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Shopping and eating choices were immense so would love to come back one day 😊

Outstanding hotel in the best place in the waterfront.

Location and views were brilliant and the staff superb. Breakfast was top notch and lunch and dinner very good. The interior design of the hotel is lovely.

Disappointing but the location was excellent

I like the loft room. It was cosy but I wished I had a view now. I love the location.

I did not recieve any information at the front desk about the facilities and services of the hotel.. Furtheomore, there was no information in the room about guest services, facilities etc. I thought the food was not good in the restaurant. The room was very noisy and the music outside was loud until midnight.

A very convenient spot to the waterfront precinct but pricey.

Comfortable and clean right in the waterfront hub. The staff were very helpful and lovely.

I felt the price was overpriced for this accommodation. There wasn’t anything included apart from the room obviously, and two bottles of water.

A game of two halves.

We’d booked and confirmed early check in as we were arriving after a 13 hr flight. Not only did we not get access to our room early it wasn’t available to us until well after 4.30pm! Check in staff were less than helpful and just kept stringing us along. The room itself was lovely, clean and beds were comfy. We ate at the restaurant and again staff were very attentive and food was amazing. Such a shame that our first experience was so, so poor and check in staff were unhelpful and didn’t manage the situation well.

Location is Perfect. Room was comfortable and a good size.

The Check in was Long and the staff were unattentive. We made a booking through booking for Dinner which was not booked. You get a Ticket and Must wait for an answer which you never get. The hotel is busy so Little Personal attention.

The location of this hotel is perfect for a solo, female traveller.

Very comfortable and centrally located on the Waterfront - perfect for a solo, female traveller. The Ginja restaurant is excellent, as is the coffee shop. The rooms have been redecorated since my last visit and the colour scheme now reflects the water and blue skies outside.

I thought the coffee and tea facilities in the room were very basic. Instant Nescafé and only a couple of tea options.

Room was awful I paid over $800 a night and got a loft room on 3rd floor. Forgot to make sure not to get one of these. Claustrophobic

First impressions were disappointing - but it ended more postive.

The fact that that the manager moved us to a better room. The Manager were very helpful.

We were booked into a small loft room which made me feel claustrophobic - i did not have large windows - only roof windows with a low ceiling. It is ridiculous to pay R 10 000 per night for such a room. Luckily the manager moved us to a better room which I appreciated. he even brought our luggage to the room himself. The hotel's interior does not go with the exterior. You need to redo the interior. The carpets are also dirty in the hallways and rooms (we saw three rooms). The dining area has no atmosphere - very bare. When we arrived for breakfast, no one offered us tea or coffee - we had to search for someone to assist us. The coffee cups arrived without teaspoons. When we asked for hot water, we received lukewarm water. The scones were also not that fresh. The staff who handled our luggage and car were very friendly, but the staff in the restaurant clearly needs customer service training. We recently visited the Royal Livingston Hotel in Zambia and the Twelve Apostles in CT - the service at these two hotels were excellent. The interior of both hotels is exquisite.

A perfect location and a beautiful hotel for a visit to Cape Town.

Location was outstanding, central waterfront near restaurants, stores, safe walking around 24/7. Scenic area. Excellent restaurant in the hotel -- great breakfast and a nice dinner too. Also convenient to walk over to the ferry to visit Robben Island.

We liked it all.
