Right near beach. Big compound/resort. Smiley staff. Breakfast was good.
Asked me to sign a paper acknowledging they had construction everywhere at check-in! No indication beforehand of course. Was quite disruptive. Somewhat reduced prices didn't make up for the noise. Required AC to stay on all the time in room, which is I don't like. Then understood the rooms are covered in tiles that turn into a skating rink (quite dangerous actually) with all the condensation. Not a smart design in the least.

The AlamKulkul was very nice and quaint. I stayed with a group of six girls aged between 18-20. It was a good size for our group as all our rooms were close by. The second pool was very nice to relax by each day as there were many lounge chairs both in the sun and shade. The staff were extremely friendly and provided quick service when it was needed. The resort was very central in terms of location, nearby great restaurants, cafes and Garlic Lane shopping district. The housekeeping was extremely thorough, even folding our clothes and organising our toiletries.
A lot of the instructions and pamphlets were unclear. On our card, it said that check out was at 12 noon, however we were rung at 11:40am and told check out was actually 11am. We were provided with the WIFI card, but it didn't have a password meaning we had to ring if we wanted the wifi. We weren't told as we checked in that if our key card came into contact with our phone, it would disable, which was quite frustrating when we'd return late at night. Fortunately the reception was open 24/7. My friend and I had the room "Alam Villa" which was right by the pool. However, our room's sliding door entrance did not lock, which is definitely a safety concern for two young girls. Lastly, our other friends had towels & pillows that gave off a foul odour. When they requested their manchester be replaced due to the smell, it would still come back presenting an odour.

Staff are super friendly. Shout out to Wulan who I had the pleasure to chat with and she recommended a Babi Guling place that I tried. Sure enough it was amazing. We remain friends :)
Unfortunately the hotel was under renovation and the rooms felt a little old. I’m sure the renovation will improve this.

Hotel is well located and literally in front of the beach. There are 2 main pools which is nice and they were clean. Room was spacious with decent sized balcony and pool view. Staff is lovely and very kind.
Bathroom shower place was not very clean and literally seems heavily used and needs rennovation. There was constant smell of the tubs. Room was fine, but furnitures seem old and heavility used. This is personal preference, however, breakfast can contain a bit more fruits given the richness Indonesia can offer in this regard.

The hotel was in a great location, but set back enough that it was lovely and quiet, two pools where great lots of place to sit and relax pool side.
The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the room itself was clean.

Had a quick 1 night transit stay after a week in Gianyar. The staff were incredibly friendly, hospitable and remembered my name which made me feel special and a little sad I had to leave so soon. The resort is well situated across the road from the beach with a range of services, restaurants, beach bars, shopping, tattoos all nearby. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, bathrooms is spacious and the a/c was cold. Breakfast in the morning had a great selection of foods including fruit, juices, hot local dishes, an egg station and pastries. I would definitely book a holiday here and stay a week or 2 very happily.
The rooms were a little dated, but the space and cold a/c was more important to me and also the comfy bed. Fittings in the bathrooms appear to be weathered from the salt air, so would be nice to see them upgraded.

What a wonderful stay. Their slogan of a home away from home is spot on. The staff namely Dayu, Indra, Oman and Salsa have been absolutely awesome. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to travel to Kuta. The resort itself is close to everything you could ever want and if you are traveling with children this is Definitely where you want to be. There are daily activities for the children as well as two wonderful pools that both have detached mini shallow pools.
Thank you to all the staff at the resort for making out stay a truly memorable one

The option of booking pool side rooms with direct access was great for young children. The walkways make navigating through the property a nice experience. Gardens were well maintained. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was well presented with a good variety.
The property seemed quite run down, lacking maintenance. The garden pool was better than the main pool. Grout was gone, tile edges sharp, tiles missing, coping tiles worn away. The ground around the pool was uncomfortable under foot and my toddler ended up with cuts on his feet. The room itself also felt tired/run down but clean, towels are old/need replacing, artwork hung lopsided, bathroom needs regrouting etc

This hotel is perfect for families! We had a late booking and missed out on a villa, so we stayed in a quad room with four singles, and it was so much fun! The pool area is a great spot for relaxing, and the breakfast was amazing—finally, some decent coffee on a buffet! The location is fantastic, and for those arriving late like us, there’s a handy 24-hour restaurant right next door. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Ketut, the manager, is super attentive and always looking for ways to make your stay even better.
We had an awesome time and can’t wait to return and snag that villa next time! Highly recommend this hotel for families.
Overall, not much, to be picky, there are some maintenance issues around presentation.

Great location opposite the beach and close to shopping and restaurants.
Very friendly and helpful staff especially Dayu who showed me how to make a Canang Sari (daily offering).
Big comfortable rooms with balcony overlooking the pool.
Wasn’t anything to dislike.

The location was close walking distance for eating and drinks
The check in time ran over an hour late, the condition of room wasn’t great the pillows were old and smelled. Also on the last night had to call reception about noisey neighbours arguing and music it wasn’t actioned until I went to reception and they entered my room and spoke with the neighbours from my room. They apologised to the noisey neighbours about me complaining and once they left I had abuse shouted at me and music turned back up I ended up with no sleep and concerned for my safety

Great location close to beach, markets, Restaurants. The property is well kept. A nice little oasis from the busy streets once you enter. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were surprised by a nice daily activity program. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a decent budget hotel.
Unfortunately as other people have mentioned, the sheets and towels are stained. Although freshly washed, it’s not a nice feeling. We had a quad room with no balcony. Four people in the room with four sets of wet beach towels, pool towels and baths towels was problematic and contributed to the musty smell in room and nothing could really dry properly. While property and room were well maintained and cleaned i think a real renovation could truly elevate this hotel 💕
