Location very convenient, helpful staff , plenty of parking and a great restaurant. The room was exactly what we wanted and it was good value too. We were told about functions booked too.
Room was very warm even with the windows open , radiator was on inferno setting 24/7

The room was lovely, big bed and a bath😀. Reception was great and had no problem getting more coffee when needed.
We found the restaurant poor, reception said there would be no problems with a gluten free diet but the evening meal which was gf was flavourless. When we went down for breakfast there was no menu, I was given a tablet which stated there was no gf options. The waitress said we could have the continental, but only the yogurt, not worth the price so ate off sight.

Good facility , lovely staff
Bathroom was somewhat mouldy , water pressure in the shower was awful and bedsheets had rips in them however it didn’t ruin my stay

It had a bed
Very run down, some lights in room not working, needs decorating, families put in rooms above a function room with load music and mic till late night and no warning about a function taking place!!!!

Friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Noise from the event was far too loud. Was only informed at check in not prior to booking. Needs some work and decorating. Very run down.

The whole Hotel, at least what I saw of it, is dated and decor is tired and in need of a serious modernisation and face lift.
I did not wish to eat in the Hotel. Overall the Hotel was OK and staff polite and friendly, but nothing more, and at £90 it was in my opinion, way over priced for a mid-week out of town Hotel. I would not stay here again.

Bath/shower not good, ready for a refurb, felt very flimsy under foot...walk in shower would be so much better!

Very good rooms nice to have tea and coffee in room makes a big difference when you have traveled a long way
Came down for breakfast to be told sorry you can’t come in yet it’s still 1 minute to eight ! Is there really any reason for that next time I stay I will get breakfast elsewhere if it’s that much of a problem

The food from restarurant smelled really good. Convenient location for visiting the area. Good parking. Had a lift.
Noise - had a warning (but too late, as I had started my travel) of some noise, but that it would be minimised and a room allocated as far from it as possible (it was loud and the room was right over it, I could hear every word of the music being played). Kids running around screaming in corridors and lift, using it as a playground, no security despite assurances that door would be locked at 11pm and anyone could access the accommodation area, staff very unhelpful, no one at front desk despite '24/7 cover'. Could not stay. Staff member advised me that this disruption 'was normal'

The two young ladies on reception. Very helpful in getting me a pizza and kebab. Very attractive too.
Could do with a refresh

Big comfy bed, room was clean but a bit un finshed.
The noise!!! Guests shouting down the corridors later at night and very early in The morning.
Another guest was shouting and swearing down his phone for over 30mins in the breakfast room.
Not the hotels fault but the staff did nothing to address any of these problems.

The staff were very helpful and nice. There was always someone available to help us when we needed - and we needed it.
The room had quite a few issues. The iron was broken and hadn't been replaced. Our door key card stopped working the next morning, before we headed out. We reported the issue to reception before headsing out. They gave us a new key but it didn't work either. So they told us the issue was with the battery in the door lock and that they would replace the the battery in the afternoon so it's fixed when we come back in the evening. We came back just after midnight and it hadn't been fixed. So we had to call someone to open the door for us. This was quite frustrating at this time of the day, when we already pointed out twice an issue that hadn't been fixed.

Not a lot
Paper-thin walls and unfortunately for us a drunken couple next door who came in late and proceeded to argue and discuss bed wetting problems on three separate occasions through to the early hours!

Affordable, good location.
Noise until midnight - I understand why, and I know you have two business aspects running. but what if we had young kids? Delaying sleep an hour after we arrived for us and a 15 year old was one thing, but…
Also, the restaurant plates were pretty filthy.

Breakfast was the highlight of my stay, the room was big and bright with everything you’d need for a short stay.
They ran out of bottles of still water in the bar, so would be good if that’s re-stocked more often

Farmhouse Inn does great breakfasts. Alongside that, the room was perfect.
Nothing to report. Even though it was loud as there was a wedding event, the atmosphere was great either way.

Staff were very friendly
The whole facility is very much in need of a lick of paint and is looking quite shabby. The room was quite depressing. Quality of the evening meal was dissapointing. Breakfast was better except for the sausage which did not appear to contain any meat.

Convenient location for travelling home after touring. Nice room and bathroom. Advance warning of function room noise in evening appreciated. Good selection of food options . Service good
Buffet carvery lacked appeal and veg limp. One meal arrived lukewarm warm but changed on request . Buffet breakfast should be kept hotter

Happily, the welcome was excellent. The Receptionist was friendly, efficient, rapid, clear and very helpful. A great sense of humour but professional at all times. She took the extra amount for two breakfasts and we thought all was well.
Happily, the room itself was great. Large bed (which proved to be very comfy), long side 'desk', sufficient electrical sockets. I would have welcomed the ability to have brighter lighting available for reading in bed. Also, I'd like to know why, everywhere I go I get a loose loo seat....is it just me? There was no basin plug either; to some this may not matter. Unfortunately, to me, it does.
Happily, a parking space for disabled was available and, sensibly, located near to the Reception door. You have no idea how many of those rare things are located AWAY from the entrance at some other places.
Firstly, I am not a serial complainer. I see good things and I say good things. However:
Already mentioned: the lack of a basin plug, the ubiquitous loose loo seat and the inability to increase the brightness of the lighting for reading and detail work. But the real problem that we had was with two male members of bar staff. Cocky, disrespectful, cheeky, assumptive, condescending, arrogant and above all flippant. After the Receptionist saying that we could charge our dinner to our room number, this particular barman (certainly not a trainee) seemed to think that because I am in my mid-seventies, very grey and walk slowly with a stick, I can be first ignored and then treated with an arrogant disrespect whilst telling me that I could not charge the evening meal to our room. "It's policy that we can't do it overnight; put your card in here..." It was not a good start, but it continued. We had a voucher/gift card/whatever else it could be called for £40 which was a Xmas gift and I explained that I'd been told that we could apply it to the room bill. He assumed that it was a percentage voucher and asked, very brusquely, when they had given it. I had already said that it was our first time at the hotel. He called over a female staff member who was given his rushed and incorrectly assumed information. She was rather busy and was unable to give the time and that moment. It took some time to get it through to him that it was a voucher with a value, not a discount. Unfortunately my wife had left it in the room together with the room key folder, which he said he needed to see, so I asked my wife to go back to fetch them.
I can understand that in a busy chain pub there must be an amount of security as there must be challenges in that area, but he was insistent, and not in a good way.
(See photos for the continuation of this sorry tale:)

The location was perfect for the planned events. Clean comfortable rooms.
Very aggressive, rude and either poorly trained (or lying) staff member made for a very unpleasant experience. Also for a Green King branded hotel it had no Green King beer for 2 of the 3 days of our stay.
