We liked the location. The room was very tidy. Hosts was very welcoming and had such a lovely dog. We didn't stay for breakfast. However, when we looked in, it was very accommodating for a continental option. We took away some packet breakfast with us for our journey.
Very limited parking at busy times, but we managed to get parked. Tv didn't work but they said that was going to be fixed. No biggie.

Location was excellent, next to pleasure beach and a tram stop across the road for easy access to the rest of Blackpool.
Unfortunately there was a family emergency with the hosts which obviously was not their fault. But it did mean no house keeping, we had to brave the elements to walk to another B&B for breakfast and no general assistance during the break.
Althought this in no way spoilt our visit it tainted it a little.

The hosts were very welcoming and very accommodating nothing was too much trouble the property was in a perfect location. The rooms were very clean and everything was there for a pleasant stay. The ocean bay is a fantastic hotel and will be coming back again. The continental breakfast was amazing with a variety of different options to choose from. Definitely would recommend to anyone and will tell my family and friends. Thank you for a fantastic stay. Value for the money

Great location, nice budget hotel! We got upgraded to the sea view room too, so it was a lovely stay
The shower was dated and a little tricky to work out, but overall, a great budget hotel.

The family room was small but cosy. The bathroom was spacious and the power shower was hot.
Not really a bar to take a drink after a day out in Blackpool.

The woman was lovely and very welcoming when we arrived . In the room the bed was comfortable and clean. I loved the selection of drinks you get when you arrive too. The location of the hotel was also great.
The bathroom was disgraceful. We had to flush the toilet as it had remnants of the last person's visit when we first arrived. There was some kind of blockage in the sink/shower and when you washed your hands in the sink foam would appear in the shower. Hair also seemed to be trapped in the plug hole.
Breakfast, you would assume you are getting a cooked breakfast when you book through here. Bear in mind this is extra when you arrive. You're limited to cereal or toast and coffee etc.
There is a kettle in the room but the lack of lighting makes this hard to use when it's dark. Please add additional lights in the bedroom.
Oh and taking food upstairs, forget about it. There's a £20 charge.

Very friendly manager, view
No TV throughout weekend , offered 20% off next stay but won't return. shower was dirty stinks of damp , broom handle for curtain rail, thick dust on broken TV. Wires all over the place . Unfinished work throughout the property Wires hanging from cealing , heavily stained carpets and walls throughout , plaster board here and there , pool table in the middle of the dining room isnt good . disturbed sleep both nights . Parking is a bad thing . Its not a dog friendly hotel but had a big alsation there in lobby and dining area and lying on couches .

The hotel was in an ideal location for us as we wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still in a walking distance.
Continental breakfast only was disappointing, so we paid extra for a full English the next day.
Worst part was on the Sunday morning we realised we were badly bitten by something. My partner had many dots on his arms, but my resulted in an allergic reaction to I assume bed bugs bites and ended up at the pharmacy getting strong antihistamines and hydrocortisone cream to treat the symptoms. both my hands were swollen. I was even bitten on my forehead. I did message hotel to inform them on Monday morning so they can sort the issue, but heard nothing back at all.

Bed was clean
Shower has mould in it and the shower head had black mould in it. Wallpaper hanging off the walls, shower was not clean and we had to clean it ourselves.
Kettle was half full of water from the last occupants. Shower hardly worked, there was no water pressure and the water coming out was next to nothing. Despite this the water went cold after less than a 5 minute shower.
We paid extra for breakfast and it turns out it was just a basic continental breakfast, although on our second day we saw somebody being brought out a full english so maybe we just weren't offered the breakfast we paid for?
The lock on our hotel door did not work properly, we had to wedge the door shut the first night but on the second night with some fiddling we managed to turn the key.
We wouldnt stay here again.

On arrival the lady was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean with tea and coffee facilities. The dining room was well equipped with plenty of breakfast options with cereals, fruit juice and fruit. The location is in a quiet area and the tram stop is just across the road.

Very dissatisfied
Dirty hairs in the bed, dirty windows and ledges and damp. Water was coming through ceiling onto my daughter’s bed. Not hot water on the sink , no light coverings on ceiling light.

Close to beach and short walk to South Pier area
Clean and comfortable
Dining room is available for use to eat takeaways and own food. Friendly and kind staff.
The family room that we had was very small and you could only get into the double bed from one side. But considering the price it was still good value.

View from room
Didn't like the list of rules and regulations plus fines before stay. If I'd seen this before payment I definitely would not have booked. It doesn't make you feel welcome.
No bedside lamp in bedroom.
Could do with a proper coat of paint.
Holes in wall were I think the mirror was.
Room wasn't cleaned when we went out. Left full bins, no replacement of milk and coffee or toiletries.
Breakfast no brown bread or fresh pastries

We booked as cheap weekend away so we got what we payed for. Lovely view of lights and sea. Basic rooms could tell in middle of being updated. Good secltion of ceral for breakfast. In quite area of blackpool. It was clean, quite hotel. Tram stop right out side. Staff friendly and meet there dog who was lovely boy. The owner family explained the long term plan for it which sounds like it be lovely once done. We would happily stay there again. We were able to check in earlier then planed.
The Dinning chairs where a little uncomfortable. T.v sound not very good. Could do with bedside lamps, extra pillows. The light in room was a little bright for us however that personal preference.Feel hotel needs updating however we were very happy with our stay.

This is a great family run Blackpool hotel., right on the beach front.
Location : This is great for access to the pleasure beach. There is a tram stop and a railway station close by. The promenade is across the road..
Facilities - this is our fifth visit and we have stayed in a number of rooms. All of them have been clean., have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, toiletries and decent towels (hand and bath). there is a small seating area at the front for watching the world go by.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I was even offered a lift when it was pouring with rain.
Thank you for a warm welcome; we will be back.
The rain😀

Staff were lovely and very helpful. Very accommodating.
No savory options for breakfast apart from toast. Which was a bit disappointing

Lovely sea view room, nicely decorated and plenty of hanging and cupboard space and plugs. The hotel was very quiet, which is what we like. Nice continental breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly. The tram stop is also conviently opposite the hotel
The bathroom needed a bit of attention, the towel rail was broken, there was no plug or hot running water in the sink.

Blackpool is like Miami Beach fifty years ago - an everyman's beach resort. Ocean Bay is a grand example of that kind of old school hotel. A little bit "nanny", with the regular intimidations about smoking, or even eating, in one's room. For Your Own Good. But they're up front and honest about it, and probably seldom need to enforce. Otherwise, the rooms are clean, and there is only a tiny amount of black mold in the shower, the staff/owners are personable and have genuine concern for guests. Vastly preferable to an indifferent chain hotel. The location is excellent, near to the beach And Pleasure Beach. As good as Blackpool gets.
The hotel is likely at least 100 years old, and it shows. Dated Blackpool tackiness; (plastic plants and decorations, bunk beds, steep stairs, a cold breakfast; you get the jist.

Really enjoyable stay, the staff (and Loki!) were so friendly and the continental breakfast options were great!
Maybe a chair in the room would have been nice, but not a deal-breaker at all!

I liked the continental breakfast, plenty of objects and wonderful facilities. The staff were lovely and welcoming
The parking was difficult to find but that wasn’t their fault, just be careful if trying to park nearby as we saw a traffic warden issuing lots of tickets. but there is a strip outside were you can park it’s just a waiting game.

Comfortable beds, clean room. Friendly and inviting. Had an issue with booking.com which was quickly resolved by the host. Would definitely stay again. Quieter location with tram stops outside. Walking distance to pleasure beach 10mins.

Clean and cosy hotel, friendly staff.
The shower didn't work well, it was electric and had a very weak flow and temperature was either scalding or cold.

The owners Leah and nassa are absolutely Brillant ! They are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from. Location is great right next to the pleasure beach. They also have a pool table and shuffle board (perfect for kids).
I arrived Friday 08/08/25 along with my Mum and two kids aged 8 and 5. You know you’ve chosen the best accommodation when your kids want to stay again and not come home ha ha! I can’t forget to mention their lovely dog Lockie. My daughter Anayah absolutely loved him, he’s so friendly and put out of the way for guests.
I can’t honestly say a bad word about this place, there is nothing to dislike.

The location was great, only 5/10 mins away from pleasure beach and had a lovely sea view from the room. Very cosy.
Sadly, there was no parking on site and no bar. We tried to use the bar next door as instructed, but no one answered the doorbell. There is no option for an evening meal.

Nice and clean and would have stayed the night if the staff was more professional at night and kept the noise down . The gusts were more quiet coming in on a night than the staff .
The staff were very loud on a night and unprofessional . A staff member or owner came in at 8/8.30 went in the back think it was there kitchen area just banged all night. As are room was over the kitchen it was so loud. My husband went down but no one came out . We didn’t see anyone at all the man who let us in was from next door and said someone will be here in 20 minutes.
