Lovely property in a great location with everything you need for a great stay.

Property is in a great location with private off-street parking. Very well maintained and clean throughout and a decent size 4K TV in the lounge with plenty of streaming apps and comfortable sofa's surrounding it. Modern, electric heaters in every room meant the property felt warm and cosy and a heated towel rail is available in the bathroom which is a very nice touch and essential for a fresh towel in those winter months. The beds were comfy thanks to a high quality choice of mattress, duvet and bed linen. A Modern dishwasher and washer dryer in the porch meant we could finish our holiday without a tonne of dirty washing to take home. The owner allowed us entry well before the stated check in time which was a massive bonus as we had arrived earlier than planned from our 240 mile journey, this really made a great start to our holiday and was much appreciated.

The Kitchen is very small but was ample for our needs, however I feel this can't be helped due to the configuration of the property itself. The shower in the bathroom is poor at the best of times but will still fulfill it's purpose, and the hot water tank is limited so you need to prepare in advance if you wish to take a deep, hot bath. The internet at the property was occasionally unreliable and slow but on the whole worked well for streaming TV.

Excellent base for a quieter Scarborough Holiday

An amazing find in Scarborough - really enjoyed staying at the White Gable. It was our first time stopping at North Bay (we normally stop near South Bay) and will definitely do so again as it was much more peaceful. Only a five minute walk to the sea, 10 to Northstead Manor Gardens (which you can walk through to Peasholm Park) and about 15 to the open top bus to take you on to the more busier parts of the town. Apartment was great had everything we needed and was well maintained. Highly recommended!

No Coffee machine as advertised had to buy our own, no instructions for any of the many complicated appliances. 12,5 tog duvet in the middle of summer only other option was a blanket. Local attraction leaflets out of date owners information sheet on events dated 2024

The location was perfect so close to everything, perfect home situated on the coast. Spacious for a family of 5, great facilities. Spotlessly clean and well presented Fantastic communication with host.

Lovely property, just a shame about the good old British weather!

Location was great, the bust stop was right outside if you didn't want to drive. Quiet area, beautiful gardens, well equipped house. Host welcomed us when we arrived.

For us the bed in the main bedroom was very firm but that's a personal preference.

Home from home

This was a lovely little property, that was as comfy as a home from home. We didn’t want for anything, the location was great, being a short walk from the sea front, the open top buses leaving from directly outside and there being a pub with a play park at the end of the road . There is also a tesco just nearby for essentials - and the area is quiet and pretty.

The only thing we were missing were decent (sharp) knives for preparing meals

Everything was brilliant, the location was fantastic. The rooms were all so clean and there is everything you need while on your stay. A great property and the owner was so helpful.

The only one thing i would say and it’s not something that effected our stay and that is to put a door mat when you first enter the house to minimise wet and dirt in the conservatory.

An excellent holiday flat, ideal for family use.

This is an extremely well maintained self catering flat suitable for comfortably sleeping at least five persons. A cleaner comes in and refreshes the property's sheets / towels / linen each week. There is a very nice covered veranda area where you can also sit in the evening. All mod cons are provided, including an excellent digital radio, good TV, washing machine and dryer.

Low hot water pressure. It was also a little out of town but is next to a bus stop so hardly an issue.

Het appartement is mooi gedecoreerd met kunst en decoratieve lampen, wat het een huiselijk gevoel geeft. De ligging vlakbij de Noordbaai van Scarborough is geweldig. Scarborough is een hele mooie badplaats met veel moois in de omgeving (de Dales, de klifkusten, stadjes aan zee en York). De eigenaar communiceert goed en stuurde ons veel informatie van tevoren. Beide slaapkamers beschikken ook over een tv.

Een beetje typisch voor de UK: de wc's en wastafels hangen heel laag. Als je lang bent moet je flink door de knieën. Douchen in bad is ook iets minder comfortabel dan een inloopdouche. Ik mis op vakantie geen bad, een ruime douche vinden wij persoonlijk fijner. De bedden waren vrij smal (140 cm) en kort (1.90m?), maar wel comfortabel. Een slaapkamer rook niet fijn, de oorzaak hebben we niet kunnen achterhalen.
