The building itself is beautiful, the historic lobby has real charm and takes you back in time in the best possible way. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
This hotel seems to cater exclusively to a particular returning clientele, older, affluent regulars who are clearly treated as VIPs. If you’re not part of that group, expect to be ignored. The atmosphere is unwelcoming, especially during breakfast, where service is dominated by an unfriendly, dismissive staff member who made us feel like an inconvenience.
Rooms are extremely outdated: no shower, no TV, and a bed that is barely big enough for two. Our ceiling had visible water damage, and the walls are so thin you can hear every sound from neighboring rooms, including snoring and worse, as if they were in your own room.
This is not a cheap hotel, but the experience felt far from premium.
