We have previously stayed in Strathpeffer.
Ben Wyvis is a majestic hotel from the spa era, however, our good sized room, with a view of the mountains, was modern and tastefully decorated. A quality firm mattress assured a good night’s sleep, and the walk in shower was roomy and well kitted out.
We took advantage of the diners’ special - steak with all the trimmings and a bottle of house red wine for £43 was a bargain. Very tasty and served with a smile from the staff.
The breakfast in the morning was just as tasty, and there was a large selection of items on offer - set us up nicely for our onward journey.
We would like to mention the receptionist, Jodie, who made every effort to care for our additional needs, and that of our old dog who travelled with us. All the staff without exception were most pleasant and helpful.
We highly recommend Ben Wyvis for anyone looking for a special place, with traditional charm, to stay.
We shall return again. Thank you

Exceptional value for money. Excellent breakfast and they really like dogs!
Room had been renovated so nice and clean.

If it were a B&B, you would expect something more.
Very poor breakfast, no variety, hotel in a state of disrepair, not fit to receive guests.
Used for trips for the elderly, who are not very demanding, and over the years it has deteriorated in terms of interior conditions.
The exterior is well maintained, but the interior is forgettable.
The room was a reasonable size, but the rest was forgettable.
