Neustadt Apartments managed by Hotel Central Luzern

Location. Extra space nice.

No breakfast. No towel change, even for 4 night's. No A/C, which led to opening windows, and then lots of city noises and loud bar noise.

We stayed for a week here, it's a superb location just 5 minutes walk from the main Luzern station and therefore a great base from which to tour the surrounding area including all the mountains (Titlis, Rigi, Pilatus, Furenalp, Brunni all easily accessible from Lucerne) Clean and comfortable apartment on the 5th floor. I think they also have apartments on the 3rd and 4th floors of the building - which is opposite the main hotel. Kitchen quite well equipped with microwave, kettle, coffee maker (plenty of coffee pods and sugar and creamers supplied) gas stove, dishwasher, cutlery, washing up liquid. Bathroom was adequate with towels and toiletries. Shower curtain could maybe be upgraded to a glass door to prevent water leaking onto the bathroom floor. Bedroom was comfortable with plenty of hanging and cupboard space for clothes. In the lounge area we had a sofa and flat screen TV with plenty of channels. There are various supermarkets nearby, including Aldi, Lidl and Migros. Also shops and restaurants (our favourite find was Tibbits in Lucerne station for vegetarian food)

Ideally could have done with a few little extras for cooking like salt, pepper and oil. That would be our main suggestion for improvement.

Location close to city centre Spacious two rooms plus bathroom

Late night pizza business directly under the apartment’s full wall of windows was unsightly and their security lights flooded the apartment at night. Lowering outdoor full shutters eliminated the light but not the noise. The daytime view of office block windows and train station meant curtains needed to be drawn to provide privacy. Daytime sheers need to be provided because the existing curtains are dark material that blocks daytime light.
