Incredible stay with a great host.

I liked the big kitchen and washing facility for laundry. The bedroom was spacious and we had a great view during New years evening when fireworks happened. bus stop close as well as supermarket. The host was super friendly and extremely helpful. He left snacks for us in the kitchen that was super awesome. Super nice stay.

More pillows on the bed, but after speaking to the host he organised more pillows. Then the shower door does not open easily. Furthermore these are things that can be fixed very easily. So it did not affect our stay.

The pillows were flat. Mattress was highly uncomfortable. The comforter was horrible. There was no tissue box in the room. Bedsheets were clean but in poor state and the towels looked like floor rugs.

Great location, close to train station, cosy clean apartment

There were two locations to pick up the keys from the drop box and we went to the wrong one (our mistake), but we were met downstairs and kindly shown the room and facilities. The rooms were very clean and warm. There was some free coffee krups for the coffee maker which was nice, and free wifi. The TV even had some english-speaking channels which was great as our little boy could watch some cartoons in the evening. There's laundry facilities in the building as well, you just have to provide your own detergent. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Lucerne, with lots of options for food all around, right next to the historic bridge, and just a short 5 minute walk to the train station. We've stayed with HIT Rental Apartments a few times now in Lucerne and they're always great, would recommend.

Location is near to Lucern railway station. The apartment was clean. All required utensils were present. All instructions for checkin and checkout were clear.

Our stay at HIT rental is excellent since the place is walking distance to all the major tourist sites.

The accessibility to tourist attractions, train/bus stations, supermarkets, and restaurants. The cleanliness of the place and on site laundry - free of charge.

The room is kind of small - can’t open the window/curtain so I suggest to get a room with balcony.

Nice place ...But

Good location, modern, good facilities.

Rock hard bed, lumpy pillow. Excessive data collection via compulsory online form, far more than required for official purposes..travel info coming and going e.g. rail company train number carriage number...really!!! Excessive emails. Online form requiring credit card to pay city tax not working so agreement reached to pay in cash yet still kept getting emails in regard to this. Sixteen emails received when 1/2 would suffice...bureacracy gone wild and really annoying!!

Beyond the problem of access to the hotel to unload our luggage - we had a really good time and real

The location is amazing in the heart of the old city. The place is very clean and maintained to a high standard I had a problem with receiving the key - but a representative immediately arrived to help us.

There is no access to the old city by car and we had to drag our luggage on foot, which is really unpleasant.

Lovely place for a lovely city!

The location was excellent, very handy to all major areas and visiting places. Lots of food options nearby. The place was spotless and the lady was very helpful. Sofa bed was good. Very easy on the furry friend...

Value was not great as most things in Switzerland aren't. The bedroom door would not close except by moving the bed which would eliminate access to one side of the bed.

A nice place to stay and very convenient for the train station.

Everything was straightforward, room was decent size with reasonable bathroom/shower. Agency was quick to answer on telephone and positively helped with one or two requests. The room and entry was nice and clean.

One or two layout problems with the room which are apparently going to be rectified with future renovations within the building. Can't really see the point in a dishwasher, could be cupboard space for crockery and foodstuff. Don't put crockery out of reach and dangerous to recover!

Overall, the location is excellent, but the unit itself leaves a bit to be desired.

The location of this property was excellent, just off the waterfront, making it easy to get around the city. It was a quick 5 minute walk to the Lucerne train station and there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the immediate area. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchenette. The wi-fi is pretty strong.

The unit itself was very small. The photos in the listing make the place look larger than it is. In reality, the space is 90 sq. feet (8.36 sq. meters) and feels very cramped. There is very little storage space and not enough room for suitcases. We travel COO, so we were able to squeeze our clothes into the small closet, which only had four hangers. However, if you're traveling with large suitcases, there isn't enough space on the ground or anywhere else other than the bed to place and open a suitcase. It's sufficient for a solo traveler, but not enough space for two people, IMO. The unit is not really configured to make the best use of the small space. The kitchenette is adequate - there is a two-burner stove, a small refrigerator and basic dishes, utensils, silverware and pans. There is a table for two, but the closet door can’t be opened all the way as it hits the table/chair. The bathroom is very small. You have to shut the door in order to sit on the toilet, because the toilet is behind the door. There is only one towel hook in the bathroom. The bathroom could use a couple of hooks for bath towels, (there was only one, so you can either hang a bath towel or a hand towel, but not both). We had to hang our bath towels outside of the bathroom. I would suggest installing a couple of hooks on the back of the bathroom door at the very least. The unit is above the Hotel Schiff restaurant next to an alley where there are many trash cans and at times the smell wafts into the apartment. Also, restaurant staff often smoke in the alley, so the smell drifts into the apartment. Yes, you could keep the windows closed, but then the apartment becomes a bit stuffy. Also, the window looks directly across into a unit in the next building.

Brilliant location in the old town. Easy self check in, easy to find. Ample room in the apartment. Very clean. It would be warm in the apartment in summer, fine when we were there in September.

Excellent location and facilities

Excellent location close to chapel bridge and all sites of Lucern. 10/15 minutes easy walk from train/bus station and ferry docks. As we were on the top floor we had a balcony which we used every day. Great to have to option to cook and eat in as it helped us to save a little money on eating out 3 times a day! Fully equipped kitchen with table.

Amazing location, incredibly central!

This hotel was extremely central. It overlooks multiple restaurants, stores and is right by multiple gorgeous bridges including the Rathaussteg. A great stay that offered many amenities as well, including a microwave, stove, utensils, fridge, fans, tv, etc. Communication was great with the host when an earlier check-in time was required and the room was clean upon arrival. These apartments were a walk away from the central train station and close to the pier - additionally the view was phenomenal. Right by the water and beautiful mountains in the background. Just for the location alone, highly recommend this stay!

The lock box was a bit hard to locate at first. Google Maps led us to the back entrance and staff at the restaurant had to direct us to the proper entrance. Otherwise, great property and everything else went seamlessly.

I live at top 4th floor. It was very hot and there is no air condition. It is hard to get into sleep. Do not come at the hottest week. The elevator had problem when the day we checked out. We have to move big luggages by stairs.

The position was great for getting about.

The property was so hot inside with only a fan which blew hot air around the room. The iron did not work. Probably because a kink in the cord had exposed the live wires. The fridge door was hard to close because it was hard against the dishwasher door and was contributing to the heat in the room. The shower screen was the old material type hanging off a rail . Yuck! The shower head was loose and could not be directed at a central position in the shower. The place was basically cheaply fitted out and needed Air- conditioning.

The location of the apartments were great, there is a washer and dryer available for guests, and there is a restaurant underneath that is very good.

The rooms were hot and all there was to cool them down was a single room fan. The elevator is just big enough for one person, the hotel/apartment building is hot.

It was very stuffy - no ventilation; and the property didn’t mention that there was no AC. So my family including my 12 year old fell unwell due to 30 degrees temperature, no AC or ventilation. One window didn’t have a curtain as well; hampering privacy. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Worst pillows ever. Photos are deceiving as it's smaller then what you would assume. The towels were small and crisp, The balcony area was disappointing as it was next to where people smoke and we are non smokers so we didn't stay outside for long and the outdoor furniture was very uncomfortable. The lift is very tiny so we could only go up 1 up at a time.

Worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had. And most expensive. Do not stay here.

Location was excellent. Laundry facilities, however you have to provide your own detergent which is annoying when all you want to do is one load. Perhaps they could provide a dispenser where you still pay for it but don’t have to pay for an entire bottle that you won’t use or don’t want to carry around for the remainder of your travels.

Everything else. I arrived early and wanted to leave my luggage… I waited 45 minutes for someone to come and meet me. The person who met me was in the building already. The first night I went to bed I found black hair all through the bedding, on the sheets and the cover. Not just one or two hairs, more like 10-15. I contacted the property and spent the next 24 hours going back and forth and not once did they offer to come and change the bedding. They finally offered to send someone on my third day, after I’d already had to sleep in it for two nights and was leaving the next day. The first night was extremely noisy with doors constantly banging for hours on end all through the building. Loud, constant slamming several times a minute for hours. I decided I was going to leave a day early due to the cleanliness and noise and asked for my last night to be refunded. Got the run around. Was advised I had to go through booking.com, sent 3 messages with no response until 3 days later where they finally agreed to refund 50% of my last nights accommodation. Not good enough. The room was tiny with no where to put my luggage. Couldn’t even lie it in on the ground. Had to put it on the bed when I wanted something out of it and then pack it up again each time. The third night I was woken at 1am by a family obviously packing to leave. The adults allowed the children to run through the hallway screaming for at least an hour. Even after I got out of bed and asked them to be quiet. I’ve stayed in quieter and cleaner 12 bed dorms in hostels. I paid $400 AUD a night for this experience and it was horrible. There is a pod coffee machine with pods provided, I went to use it and it was filthy, decided against it. Communication from both the property and booking.com was disgusting. Complete lack of compassion, understanding and action.
