Unbeatable views, though service and carnival noise were issues
Our stay at HITrental Chapel Bridge was a highlight for the scenery alone. The apartment offers an incredible view of the mountains, the river, and the iconic Chapel Bridge right from the window. It truly felt like a home away from home and was fully equipped with all the amenities we needed.
On the downside, the service for minor issues was slow; our TV remote wasn't working, and despite asking for replacement batteries, we didn't receive them until the end of our stay. A Smart TV would also be a great addition for international guests who don't speak the local language. Lastly, be aware of the noise if staying during Carnival. It was extremely loud and heavily disrupted our sleep on both Saturday night and Monday morning.

Great location in the heart of old town.
Location and view is fabulous. Room is good however fit out is a little cheap.
No washing machine in room, which we did not know at the time of booking. Renovations occurring in the building were noisy at times, but we were out often so not that big of a deal. Bed in lounge was not expected and not ideal. We thought room would be bigger than it actually was.

Location and value for money
Location is excellent! Great view of the chapel bridge from the window. Easy access to shops, groceries and restaurants. Six minute walk to the train station. It has an elevator. The apartment is new, spacious and has everything you need to feel right at home. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bedrooms are very comfortable, we always had a good night of rest. The common laundry area is a big plus. It's free to use, you just need to bring your own detergent. I definitely recommend the apartment if you are in Lucerne and will stay here again next time I'm in town.
Pillows are a little soft for my preference.

Very beautiful homey apartment, clean, big and quite complete modern kitchen appliances with the extra city center location with super beautiful view like a painting that we can see everyday, the staffs are very helpful, quick responsive and informative, we will stay in that property again for sure next time.

Nice clean apartment with the the view of Chapel Bridge.
Location.. this is the 2nd time we stayed at this apartment. We love how our room have a view of the chapel bridge. The room is big for 3 adults. Its about 10 mins walk from Lucerne train station. Old town is around this area. You can also go to Saturday market right below the apartment. Will definitely stay there again in future.

Beautiful apartment in Beautiful Luzern
We stayed in the SUN IV apartment which was practically in the attic but it was the best stay we had in Switzerland, and one of the best apartments we have booked in the past years. Frankly I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, due to the reviews but this was one of the best surprises. The communication with the staff before hand during the booking and check in process was great, they explained everything how to reach the apartment, and when we showed up few hours before check in, they gladly took our bags to the apartment and informed us when the room would be ready. The apartment in itself was super clean when we arrived, it was huge, plenty of air, light and a rustic feel with the wood beams of the attic showing. Everything was super clean, a fully equipped kitchen, huge bathroom, a veranda overlooking the clock tower and gorgeous views from the windows overlooking the river, the chapel bridge and the lake. Overall a great stay, and the price very favorable compared to other places in Luzern. Location was less than 10 min walk across the river to reach the main train station or the lake boat dock. Very much reccomeded

Tiny elevator and difficulty reaching on foot. Should directly ask people to come in from the entrance which is at the lake level instead of lugging baggage up. The sofa cum bed placed in our room was ugly for the price.

The curtains in the bedroom/sitting room were poor and didn’t cover the window meaning a very light room in the morning. Our check in was delayed one hour.

A reasonable compromise that was necessary for a visit to beautiful and expensive Lucerne
The location is excellent. The window overlooks the river near the famous bridge, right in front of the Jesuit Church. It is easy to get to on foot, about a ten-minute walk from the train station.
The apartment where we lived had two bedrooms - one with a double bed and the other with three beds in a not very comfortable arrangement. The living room had a sofa that apparently opened into a bed - I didn't try it. There are also a dining table, some chairs, an armchair and a TV. The little storage we found was impractical to us.
The price was relatively low for Lucerne and I guess it had a reason. Anyone looking for a reasonably priced apartment in Lucerne must probably compromise - and here it is quite clear what I compromised on.
The entrance to the apartment is at the back of a building with a restaurant called SCHIFF in front. The apartment can be reached by a very small elevator or by slightly confusing stairs. The feeling is of overcrowding and bad smell.
In the days before arriving at the apartment, I started receiving emails that seemed strange to me: it seemed that the landlords were demanding that we pay the city tax in advance as a condition for receiving a Lucerne card, which entitles us to use public transportation. It was quite stressful to receive emails while traveling by train requiring us to connect to an unclear link in order to pay, so I delayed the matter until arriving at the apartment.
The furniture in the apartment was usable but very worn. Three things bothered us:
First, cleanliness: one of the sheets was discovered (lately - so I didn't bother to complain or ask for a replacement) to be very dirty. There were also disgusting stains on the cover of the sofa in the living room. I was careful not to sit there.
Second, the bathroom, which also contains the only toilet stall, has a door without a lock. In an apartment designed for up to six guests, this is a problem.
Third, the floor in the apartment is very crooked, and moving from room to room involves a step - but each step is of a different height. Sometimes it is a matter of a few centimeters and sometimes a full size step. Even worse, because of the different slopes, there is a significant difference in height between the right side of a step and its' left side. This is not only "uncomfortable", it is downright dangerous. Within two days, both my son and I tripped over these steps. In my case, it ended in a really painful injury.

We utilitized the family suite which was the 4th floor, Mars IVA. The room was beautiful and rustic. The bathroom was spacious and clean and the shower was fantastic! Amazing water pressure!!
The views were incredible, the mini kitchen set up was very helpful to bring back little treats and drinks. Windows open all night and day to allow for perfect breeze. Beds were very comfortable. Also location was PRIME! Right along the water with multiple shops, restuarants, and bars/cafes to choose from. Right near historic Chapel Bridge.
The elevator access was very beneficial, especially with bringing luggage up multiple flights of stairs. (And we had many)
Directions to location was very easy to follow from the train station (we walked) and easy to obtain access to key. The prior email confirmations with PIN information was very helpful to obtain from the lockbox. We will be back!

I paid all the amount of rental fees two weeks before I check-in. But when I check-in , I need to pay again and get back my money later. I lost money in the currency exchange rate in such arrangement. I don't think that it's a proper arrangement. In addition, I was urged by the rental co. to pay the city tax for many times. It was really a bad experience I ever have.

Location is very good, near the train station, shopping stores, and chappel bridge. Also was able to prepare breakfast for my kids and all kitchenware was available
For a family with kids and a few bags, be very careful as there is no way for cars to go there so you will have to carry your bags for a very long distance. Had to carry/drag my bags for more than 300/400 meters which was very hectic especially with kids and possible rain. Lift was very small and could take max 2 bags with one person or two adults at one time only. Floor was uneven and made us dizzy, there was disgusting drainage smell coming from toilet all the times, beds were small and for a couple very hard to sleep comfortably. Washing machines are shared with others and extremely hard to get. Overall be very careful, especially for families with kids

The smell from the bathroom in our apartment on the 3. floor was horrible, and there was no way to get rid of it during our stay.
The rooms get quickly stuffy in the summertime, which requires that the window is constantly open. Open windows mean that the city sound is with you until late at night and from early in the morning with churn bells, and garbage vans.
The building is a maze, but signs work.
There’s a common washing area, where usage of perfume free detergent should be a must!

Lovely apartment with beautiful views, excellent location.
The location was so convenient and view is spectacular. Plenty of room for our family of 4, very comfortable. Fans provided which was nice as it was warm during our stay.
We were told we could drop off luggage when we arrived earlier than check in, but waited about 40 minutes after speaking to a receptionist via the call button for someone to meet us and eventually just left and dragged our bags around with us. One worker came out and said she was not our room attendant so she could not help us and was not able to call anyone else. It was frustrating to waste time standing there and then still have to walk around with our suitcases, but everything else was wonderful.
