Cold and disappointment

It is a quite place with nice view to the garden

The bathroom is too small, i am just 165cm but when i sit on the loo my knee touch the door already. Really unlucky came when their heat is broken so it is too cold, when try to contact the host i have no answer by phone. Have to go around looking for a person. The chatbot can’t help with real problem but the hotline number isn’t working at all, no call, no text back. On the second day when i ask about the heat, a man in the place said it is still not working and recommended looking for other place and they will refund me for the second day. I have left shortly after 15 minutes clean up but after 1 week ( 6 working day exactly) i still don’t receive any refund or even a single message from the host.

The location was brilliant, and had everything you needed in it, container was nice and warm. Had wi-fi and smart TV’s, hot water and heating. Bed was comfy also.

We had issues getting into our container, as it has a dodgy door handle. We had to go get Angus (staff member) to show us the hack to the door handle and get us in. He was very friendly and accommodating and apologised, totally not his fault! We did however notice the container was not very clean, under the bed was thick with dust, on and behind the swivel tv was also thick with dust. The patrician between the kitchen area and bedroom was thick with grease also and hadn’t been cleaned properly. All edges etc were pretty full with dust. We did notice damp emerging in the bathroom too, probably due to condensation from the shower with no window open. It was on the walls.

I liked that the stay is isolated from the city with small waterfall and stream on the property. The property has a terrace with chair and small table.

The service was poor. We had an issue with the electricity and heater. We tried to call them for over 2 hours to have no reply or response. In the middle of no where with no one to rely on that’s a really bad experience.

No heating no power booked for 2 nights had to leave after first night as we were freezing and couldn't cook anything as no electricity no body there until Saturday morning to try and sort the problem which they didn't do

Disgusting and freezing

Left a 3 day booking after 1 night. No heating, dirty underwear and tissues under the bed. Ignored by facility after calls, WhatsApp and using booking.com. offered £15good will gesture. Not acceptable having not heating in -3 conditions.

Great peaceful little container

Very peaceful and lovely location. Room was nice and warm and very clean. Angus was very helpful when I had a problem with the door. Excellent value for money.

Only issue was the mattress, it's probably personal taste but I found it extremely firm and didn't sleep very well.

Poor customer service & a complete lack of response to rectify issues & faults with property faults.

Location was good. The facilities would be acceptable if they worked but I had such a bad experience because things were not working nor fixed to my satisfaction

The door handle fell off on entry rendering the door unlockable. I was in fear of being locked in as there was no alternative door. The on-site staff called outa joiner the following day but when I arrived back after a day out the work was still ongoing. I was told the only way to access the room was using a 'crow bar', I was not prepared to do this as I felt it was unsafe and risked damaging the door frame, I had to wait almost 2 hours until the door was useable but it was only a temporary fix. To compound matters the heating packed up. By this time it was too late to find alternative accommodation so I was forced to stay the night. I was provided with a small portable electric heater which was unable to heat the space. I spend a very cold and uncomfortable night. I have no complaint about Angus the on-site staff who tried his best but he was clearly very embarrassed and apologetic about the whole affair. The owner of the property was uncontactable and of no assistance. I have sent them an email asking for some compensation due to the unacceptable condition of the space and their failure to offer meaningful solutions. the owner has not yet responded to my complaint.

The concept is great - loved the idea and the containers. Great location - close to city but quiet & green

Limited communication. The booking.com chat is the only way to contact whoever it is who runs it & answers are unpredictable. The phone number is just an answer phone message which says "use the booking.com chat". No way to contact anyone if an emergency. Unsecured - the code was classic "don't use this passcode". Apparently possible to secure internally, but with a passcode like that if you were not in it, it was not secure, despite cameras. Cold - I took in my duvet from the car which I carry in winter anyway. Radiators needed bleeding. Wifi very bad - not able to get TV or stream. Kettle was a travel one, small and very slow boil. If I went again (unlikely) I would take extra clothing & bedding, and a dishcloth & kitchen roll. Need to work out a way of locking securely - I took stuff with me when out.

A cloth or coat hook to put away clothes being changed from would be a great addition. The location on Google maps leads you to the property next door, but you have to travel further down that road to take the next left to get to the property and if this location issue on Google was amended, it'd be great

Pretty lovely

I really enjoyed my stay here at Glamness. Its a nice place for a short stay or adventure holiday. The area is very quiet, the workers were lovely and a really lovely place for a long weekend. It was a very lovely stay for the money we paid

Just a few minor things that was annoying. the WiFi was really poor the whole time we were here. It would go on and off all the time and was just a pain while watching movies etc. I also didnt like the lack of places to hang things e.g. towels and jackets. Maybe a few wall hangers would be nice? And the lack of sockets, there was 2 sockets besides the USB ones but we didn't have anything USB. Wouldn't recommend if youre big and tall. All in all though I really enjoyed my stay, just had a few minor issues.

Loved the idea of container apartments but there is quite a bit of room for improvement

Location was very nice. Relatively close to Inverness center yet a quiet and green spaciously set up camp ground. Small scale. Ample parking facilities and good internet. All facilities and appliances in the container were functioning properly and it was clean.

The size of the container was a bit disappointing. Since shipping containers come in two sizes (20ft or 40ft), for these apartments they opted for 20ft, which really felt more like being in a caravan than an appartment. In general, all that was needed was there however the way it is all laid out could have been more efficient. Especially since there is no room to put your clothes or some groceries for example. One could opt to not have a couch (and sit on the bed to watch TV or use bar stools) and place shelves in that space or against the wall to facilitate storage room as with the cramped space it already was, adding suitcases and clothes on the couch rather than being able to sit there, is not really contributing to the feel of space. The bathroom is really hard to use: one can not really move in there. However, fout items were unacceptable for me considering the charge per night for this property (this has already been relayed to the owners/ managers so I hope this easy to improve matters are addressed and will not apply for future guests): 1. soap dispenser in the shower was empty on arrival (sloppy) 2. toilet paper was not checked/ replenished every day. 3. I had tried to phone relating to above matters to see if we were required to buy this but noone replied. And I was not the only one that late afternoon to not be able to reach anyone. Contactless, fine but this should not mean no service at all. Especially services that are said to be provided. As a result, I therefore had to buy my own soap and toiletpaper. Thanks to my email later that evening on the matter, it was replenished the next day but that was too little too late as I had already bought. 4. Since they were in the cabin to replenish the two items, why not also provide fresh towels? We were there for 4 days, three nights. I think towels should be replenished at the very least once every two days. Hence, I am not sure if you are there a week, if you need to launder yourself?

Spotless, comfortable and quiet.

We were able to find the location very easy, and it was perfectly situated for our trip. The area is quiet, with a lovely private outlook, and we loved the little outdoor seating area. The accommodation is absolutely fabulous and spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and we had with everything we needed. We didn’t eat out, but there are loads of places to eat if needed, and just a short drive away, we just enjoyed relaxing at the accommodation. We will definitely be back, and recommend anyone to stay, such a great little place.

This place was amazing, your own little pad inside a container. Very good value, very comfortable beds. Shops and pub food not too far away. We stopped here twice on the nc500 trip. Would definitely recommend this place.
