We felt very relaxed and totally at home.
It was a fabulous location, really quiet and peaceful but easy to drive to the nearest shops. It had everything we needed including the use of the washing machine. The outdoor space was beautiful, right on the loch where you could fish. There was a fire pit and we could have barbecues and sit outside with a drink. There was also a lovely garden with plants such as roses that I didn't think would be growing in Orkney. There is also a summer house with heating and facilities to make a drink. Inside everything was provided that you could want and it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. As you can see from the photos it is an excellent place for photographing Northern Lights and the Milky Way because it is so dark which was one of the reasons we booked it and it didn't disappoint.

Clean, quiet beautiful location
The apartment was beautiful and the gardens and sunsets were incredible. Apartment had everything you need for a holiday stay, was quiet and out of the way but still only a 25-30 min drive to either stromness or Kirkwall

Luxury in the middle of nowhere.
This is a highly luxurious self-contained apartment in the middle of nowhere (and I mean both of these attributes as positives). There is a decent-sized kitchen, fully equipped, a large dining/sitting area and a large bed-room. Guests also have use of a loch-side garden with a lovely sitting area (weather permitting - it is on Orkney after all). My bike was safely stored in the utility room.

Wonderful Stay at Lochview
It is a really wonderful place to stay. Hosts were fantastic. So much room and the facilities were more than we expected. Full kitchen with everything. Separate lounge area, great bedroom and bathroom. Absolutely nothing is missing!! Did i mention the views over the Loch and gardens - just beautiful.

Everything, a beautiful flat, spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need. In a stunning location, peaceful, stunning views and the hosts Richard and Janet made us feel very welcome.

Due to the apartment being an attic conversion, there were some height issues in areas of the bathroom and kitchen. No problem for short folk!

Great accommodation and hosts, if it is available I highly recommend you book!
This place is an absolute gem. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. The place was bigger than it seemed in photos and was impeccably clean. Its location is beautiful, right by a loch and surrounded by a beautiful garden and fields. It is perfect for a quiet retreat. Most accessible by car, but there is a bus service available two/three times a day from the main road (15-20 minute walk). Hopefully, I'll be able to book this place again next time I visit Orkney!
