It was a fabulous location, really quiet and peaceful but easy to drive to the nearest shops. It had everything we needed including the use of the washing machine. The outdoor space was beautiful, right on the loch where you could fish. There was a fire pit and we could have barbecues and sit outside with a drink. There was also a lovely garden with plants such as roses that I didn't think would be growing in Orkney. There is also a summer house with heating and facilities to make a drink. Inside everything was provided that you could want and it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. As you can see from the photos it is an excellent place for photographing Northern Lights and the Milky Way because it is so dark which was one of the reasons we booked it and it didn't disappoint.

The apartment was beautiful and the gardens and sunsets were incredible.
Apartment had everything you need for a holiday stay, was quiet and out of the way but still only a 25-30 min drive to either stromness or Kirkwall
