Come and relax in our refurbished detached guesthouse which is nestled next to our heritage listed family home. Come and go with ease through your own private entrance. Enjoy the indoor outdoor flow from downstairs kitchen, dining and lounging area into your private courtyard. Upstairs boasts a large comfortable lounge space, bathroom and master bedroom. House the kids or extra adults in our downstairs light and airy bunk room, or on our comfortable sofa bed or air mattress!
We have ultrafast fibre wifi free to our guests. Enjoy watching your favourite programmes through chromecast or SkyTV (cable). Continental breakfast is provided on the first day of your stay. The essentials will be here to start your stay with comfort and convenience. Fridge, Bbq, Sandwich press, Microwave, Jug and toaster provided ensures you have the means to make a meal if needed. A small local supermarket, pharmacy, takeaways, bakery and other essential shops are located within 5 minutes drive of The Loft Guesthouse.

This two up, two down apartment was a great place to stay. We used it as a base from which to explore Whangarei and the area. That said, it was also wonderful to watch the rugby on the TV here, rather than the bustle of a bar in town. We were fortunate to encounter that Property Manager for a chat about the history of the environs, which was fascinating, even after reading the wall posters in the dining-room. The Continental Breakfast provided on our first morning was much appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful location with the beach just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Loft. All the beds were so comfortable with nice bed linen. Super cleanliness throughout with nice amenities. Our hosts were very nice and friendly. Nice private courtyard with pretty trees. Slept 6 adults easily with room to spare for 2 more. We would stay again. Loved it!

What a lovely place. I stayed with my son we were visiting relatives for Christmas. This comfortable property had everything we needed and the host was very friendly and left us alone unless we asked for something. A beautiful walk around the shore right on your doorstep close to shops an easy drive to Whangarei for lunch a trip to Whangarei falls made for a wonderful time.

We rented the Loft for a week for 3 adult members of our family attending a reunion from out of the country. The accommodation was great. Comfortable beds. Lots of hot water. Lots of room to spread out a talk to the wee hours. A lovely private backyard. And the owners are very nice and helpful. It’s a bit far from town so a car is needed but the drive is nice and the parking is free. We would definitely recommend the Loft! Suzanne & Jim

Lovely property well situated to Whangārei CBD but in peaceful Onerahi. Really enjoyed our stay. The property has all you need and Kim was wonderful to us during our stay with lots of advice and help about the local area as well. Highly recommended.
