Quiet motel in a great location

The management team were very warm and helpful. They checked in a few times to ensure everything was satisfactory. The laundry service was excellent. There was sky tv to watch the au open. The little kitchenette had everything we needed for a short stay. Great location. There was a McDonalds a stones throw away.

If I would travel to Whangarei again, I definitely would book at Motel Six again.

The hosts are very friendly and go out of their way to help. The facilities are clean and tidy and there is sufficient on site parking available. The motel is located within walking distance to the town centre where you can find lots of restaurants. There is also a big Woolworths and a New World supermarket within walking distance.

Manager was very nice and waited for our late arrival. As soon as the manager seen our kids he gave them all these beautiful little halos with lights and flowers. Something we all will remember. The rooms so clean and facilities were all what we needed. Oven and stove. Comfortable beds great price.

Central location. Neat tidy clean room with everything I needed. Staff were happy for me to park on site during the day before checking in, saving me parking hassles during the day.

Walls seem paper thin so I could hear my neighbour snoring loudly. If you were a light sleeper this could be a problem. Very little turning room especially when full. Recommend backing into carpark if there is space available when you arrive.

Welcoming staff, clean and tidy 2 bedroom unit, heaps of space for my children and us. Supplied a cot free of charge for our 1 year old. Definitely will be back. Thank you

Perfect and convenient stay close to everything. .

Easy access to and from the motel. The sign was not lit up when coming home that was the only issue as we drove past the entrance. Everything else was perfect. Thank you for allowing us to stay an extra night at short notice. Thank for the extra items. We all had great sleeps and did not have to use our phones for waking up we heard children playing which was a nice way to wake up. The weather was perfect.

Spacious, clean, had all you needed for a short stay, everything working well, close to amenities

There were some rowdy characters on the main road late at night but the manager had warned us it could get noisy (2bed apt close to the road) and had offered another room.

Convenience to travel to/from private event. Reception person was kind and friendly.

Our room was too small. The room isn't clean! Appearance of the motel and rooms isn't the greatest or attractive. Cheap and nasty stay. Our room was very outdated with the wooden shower framing actually breaking away, along with the grime and excess muck collected over the years!

🌺 Short Stay – Practical, Clean, & Thoughtful

The facilities were basic but had everything you needed. The room was spotless, and even though the decor/furniture was from an older style, it felt homely and solid. I appreciated the thoughtful extras — complimentary treats - biscuits and mini toiletries, including toothbrush and paste, which came in handy after a long drive. Would happily stay again. You can tell the hosts take the time to think of their guests. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who values comfort, cleanliness, and kindness over flash décor.

The owner was super friendly and helpful and kind and the room was great it was good value for the price the rooms were clean and comfortable. Very close to supermarkets and take outs easy walking distance and close to town.the outside looks deceiving definitely a dont judge a book by the cover situation. Would recommend

This has been me and my family's go to motel in whangarei every time we come down the stuff are always lovely, the rooms clean, the beds are the best so comfy, right next to everything you need, if your looking for somewhere comfy to stay and needs access to everything you need like gas, supermarkets,takeaways this is the motel for you and your family

Cosy and clean motel in a good location

The bed was cumfy. An excellent availability of cutlery and kitchen appliances considering it is a kitchenette Despite it being a curtain shower, the shower was really good. The TV had sky sports available. We couldn't hear any people from other units. A heater was available for each room.

The booking system says 2 bedrooms but the second bedroom was actually the lounge. However the motel gave us an additional unit without us asking to give more space which was much appreciated.
