Protea Cottage

The house is ideally situated for exploring Torquay, which is within easy walking distance. The house is spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen and views of the beautiful garden. It is very peaceful with access to local shops very close by. The host was friendly and helpful, providing an extension lead when we needed to re-charge a mobility scooter for my father in law.

The steps to the property! The description was a little misleading, mentioning a few steps. There are a few steps down and several up to the front door. A sturdy stair rail is in situ, which was helpful to my 103 year old father in law, who is fortunately very fit. Maybe pictures and a more accurate description would be helpful to prospective guests when booking.

There was a bottle of wine waiting for us, but most importantly, it was as comfortable as being at home. In fact the bed was more comfy than ours. Mr and Mrs Oliver are two of the loveliest people we've ever met, excellent hosts. Excellent accommodation.
