Beautiful home in the countryside, woke up to such a gorgeous view! Some of our party stayed in the home and myself and my partner stayed in one of the cabins, the room in the home was beautiful and the cabin was absolutely stunning, cosy in the very cold weather and everything was provided, Susan was even so kind to allow all of us to have breakfast together in the morning even though in the cabin we were due to be self catering. Clearly a loved family home and could’ve chatted to Susan all day. Absolutely loved our short stay, and such lovely hosts, thank you again!

The facilities were just what we wanted and the location was lovely.
One of the best had two large cushions for the mattress and they separated during the night and was slightly uncomfortable but it could have been how I set up the bed.

The shepherds hut was very comfortable and quite new, but the facilities around the hut and area are not what we expected.
I realise the glamping/shepherds hut venture is in its initial stages but we were a bit disapointed in the area where the hut was situated. We were so glad to have The Rustic Inn pub/restaurant only half a mile away where we spent most of the evening and the canal walk close by. The campsite could do with a bit of work up-grading the paths and child play areas and perhaps a focal decking point for adults to sit and meet. A bit over priced at the minute comparing to what you get in a hotel.

WE stayed in a shepard's Cabin
Felt cooking facilities could have been better as only An Fryer/Toaster/Kettle. Would have liked a small cooker ring.

Idyllic location, glamping chalets were wonderfully thought through.
The communication could have been better / check in directions etc but not a big deal

Everything was very clean and cozy. I have always felt very well taken care of. When I told them I needed breakfast, they made sure to have some ready for me. A delicious meal; quite a detail. Thank you very much!
It was a little out of town but in a quiet area and not too far from the center.

The chalet was absolutely pristine with two very comfortable fold out beds. The shower was amazing, very strong and hot. The location was great for walking on the greenway. Free wifi. The owners were very welcoming, and friendly, and allowed us an early check in. The view was lovely, with animals in the field beside us.
It would have been handy to have a microwave, but that wouldn't stop me going back!!

I booked the King Room with Spa Bath and the Triple Comfort Room in March for the long weekend in May to accomodate myself and my partner, and another couple from our family to celebrate 2 birthdays.
The day of the booking, I was informed that one of the rooms wasn't available and one party would have to stay in the Shepherd Hut. This notification was last minute and past the timeline where we could cancel for a refund. We were not offered a refund for this, nor anything to make up for the downgrade at the time this was communicated. The property consists of rooms at the main house and then 2 huts which are glamping sites. While perfectly fine glamping sites, they are not the calibre/equivalent to the rooms at the house or to a B&B experience.
The host brought up a potential refund to me only after I expressed my disatisfaction with the downgrade over text, in front of our entire party, which was awkward as I was treating the group to the accomodations and did not want to discuss finances in front of the party. I had to follow up twice the next day with the host to confirm the partial refund (EUR 40) and still haven't recieved it, days later.
While this appears to be a one-off event given the mostly positive reviews I read prior to booking, I felt a duty to report my poor experience. I left feeling swindled and would not stay again.

We loved our stay at Abbeyview! The little caravans were well equipped and very comfortable. We came during lambing season and our gracious hosts even let us hold, feed, and pet some baby lambs! It was lovely and an unforgettable experience.
Nothing. We loved it.

A wonderfully restored historic home surrounded by farm life - chickens, sheep, horses, cats, etc. Hosts were amazing, a beautiful room with a view and accommodated a favour for me. Would recommend.

Our host was very accommodating with our dog needs and it was no problem to keep the son's mountain bike secure over night and the breakfast was top notch

This is such a beautifully restored, spacious and very cosy house and a pleasure to stay in. It’s located right on the royal canal greenway and beside a great pub with excellent food. The owners are really lovely and very welcoming, and the homemade breakfast is delicious and freshly made. The room we stayed in was just gorgeous and had a huge bathroom with a claw foot bath - perfect after a long walk on the greenway! We can’t wait to go back!
