Located above the bar. Very unique experience and convenient location to the town. The food here was impeccable!

The stairs leading up to the rooms could be replaced as well as some fresh paint but that is very minor. Check out was a bit confusing. We had an early flight the next morning and walked downstairs to find the place pitch black and the doors locked. Unfortunately, because we left so early the breakfast available were a few boxes of cereal without milk. We were unsure if when we unlocked the doors to leave if an alarm would go off or not.

Welcoming spot with simple, clean facilities and a fantastic staff

The staff were the friendliest I’ve ever met. I was greeted like an old friend and nothing was too much trouble. The owners and staff really went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after. Special shout-out to Charlie and Callum!

It seems like some rooms are undergoing renovation, but this didn’t impact our stay in any way

The room was great and the the pub/restaurant downstairs is awesome, with an awesome atmosphere. People who work there are very friendly and helpfull (special mention to Anton, who cares a lot for the comfort of his guests).

One night in skellys

In particular se who meet us on our arrival and took care of us for our short visit .he was so helpful friendly and kind fantastic host .the food was also very good every one enjoyed it ans some fussy eaters among us.

Disappointed

The staff was friendly and helpful. They let us use the washer and dryer, which was helpful. The pub on the main level with local patrons was fun. They were friendly and welcoming.

The rooms needed repairs and maintenance. Carpets were dirty and worn. Window glass in room was broken. Exposed wiring in places. Issues go beyond decorating updates, etc. Several of the previous recent reviews did not match our experience.

Excellent stay with wonderful Irish hospitality!

The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable nothing was too much bother. They were really accommodating as we had our dog with us. The food was absolutely delicious and they had their own kitchen garden within the walled garden which they use in their dishes. All the food was freshly cooked to order and the portion sizes were huge! The cooked breakfast was delicious! The rooms were clean and comfortable and had the original shutters adding to the rustic ambiance of the room. The location is perfect, with parking right outside the accommodation.

Nothing, some may be put off from the noise from the pub below however we didn’t find that was a problem.

I liked the fact that there was a self service breakfast available early in the morning which was very convenient for an early start. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable.

Warm welcome in cosy accommodation

We got a lovely welcome from Séamas . He was so helpful suggesting walks etc and as I had an event early in the morning, he organised that we could have a later breakfast on return .

Avoid at all cost

It was absolutely disgusting the carpet in the bedroom had stains and dirt all over it, in every part of the room was dirty, there was a cable tacked to the carpet and running along the wall, the blind on the window was filthy and ripped, the waste bin looked like someone had been sick in it. it the dirt on the velux window and spider webs above the bed were awful, there was no mattress protecter on the bed.the bathroom had a broken mirror the toilet had stains in it, there was no lid for the toilet seat, the bedside lamps were flashing and flickering there was an exposed electrical output behind the door the light above the bed was so dirty it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in many years, the lock on the door was not secure, we were told we were not above the bar but we were, the noise went on till 1:30am in the morning with people partying. You couldn’t pay me a million euros to stay night in this place absolutely vile and disgusting.

Friendly staff. Cosiness of the pub. Sleeping above the pub--i was afraid of noise but there wasn't any--Steak dinner was well-cooked and tasty. Full Irish breakfast in the morning.

The stair carpet to the upstair rooms needed a good vacuuming--really probably needs to be replaced. And the hallway carpet was filthy with ground in dirt. The room itself was very basic. The general facility had decor that had clearly accumulated over time. It had passed from charming and old-timey into just downright cluttered and worn.

Not much to like here.

Filthy carpets. No Internet! No reading lamps. Overhead light inadequate and bizarre assortment of bulbs. No heat one night. No extra blankets. Walls dirty. Place was very tired. Free bikes promised on website..there were no bikes. It looks like any flattering reviews were written by staff or friends of Skelly's. We booked based on reviews. Big mistake! Certainly not 8/10. Reviewer has Booking Genius status and been to 70 countries. I know that of which I report..
