Warm and friendly

It was our second time to stay with Maire and Declan, who are so warm and friendly. Our twin room had all we needed. Great shower facilities, everything was spotless. We had a lovely healthy breakfast, loved the fresh fruit salad and good coffee. Great chats with our hosts and lots of laughs. We occasionally work in Longford and need a place to stay, so we are very happy to have such a relaxing place we can rely on.

A comfortable haven.

It is a lovely b&b. I had a great night's sleep in quiet surroundings and very convenient for the town center. Declan and Marie were lovely people and very obliging.

It was a great weekend

It’s a lovely warm house and super clean and tidy with lovely bathroom/ Shower. The owner gave me a lift to hotel and were very helpful and friendly. Hopefully I’ll be back next year and enjoyed my stay. Tony

The place is nice and clean. Quiet if you don’t like noise and the property is good for value.

We arrived at the place earlier than check in time. Despite being early, Declan and his wife give us a warm welcome and show us the house. They were very pleasant and friendly attitude.

Maire and Declan were incredibly accommodating, really friendly and genuine people. We felt really welcome. The cats were a bonus 😀 Breakfast was healthy and the coffee was the real deal. Really good value for money and walking distance from the town, it's worth staying just to meet these two lovely people x

Lovely place, lovely owners

The couple who run this place, Declan and Maire, are lovely, so friendly and welcoming, really make you feel at home. I had a room with an ensuite. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the ensuite had a shower with toiletries provided. Downstairs, there is a sitting room for the guests with a TV with all the Sky channels. I had cereal, toast and coffee for breakfast, which was enough for me. The location is a few minutes walk from town and the bus and train connections. Well worth every penny

Attended annual basketball tournament in the town. Very accommodating hosts. Fruit salad at breakfast with freshly picked blackberries by Maire. Declan kindly gave us a lift into town too!

Maire & Declan were really nice and welcoming, and they made us feel at home at once. They were able to accommodate the fact we had to reschedule our stay a week before we were due to go and they had no problems. Would highly recommend.

We had a great experience staying with Maire & Declan. We had a private bathroom for ourselves, and breakfast was really wholesome. We loved getting to know the host a little bit and felt very comfortable for the time being. Thank you!! We will definitely come back some time.

Great Irish hospitality.

Easy to find (yellow door) and friendly welcome with a cuppa. Able to store our bicycles in shed. Room and bathroom clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast with cereal, yoghurt, fruit salad and bread. Lovely friendly chat with hosts.

Maire and Deklin were the most fantastic hosts. The beds were super comfy. Breakfast was our favorite with great conversations and a wonderful spread highlighted by her barista skills. This is the place to stay!

Comfortable homely ambience. Spacious en suite room with comfortable mattress. Quiet location so I got a good night’s sleep. Just the right distance for a pleasant walk into Longford town centre. Delicious and wholesome breakfast. The hosts were genuinely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way for their guests.

Friendly comfortable family home. Excellent breakfast - fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal selection, toast, croissant. Quiet house and area. Easy to find. Host gave us a lift as we were running late for an event and concerned about finding parking near it. Nice to chat with other guests and hosts over breakfast.

Great place, great people. Definitely worth the money

The owner(s) were friendly, hospitable and went out of their way to make me welcome. There was tea or coffee and they also provided bottled water. The house had central heating but they had put an extra oil heater in the bedroom - just in case I was cold. I had an issue with a booked taxi that cancelled on me and Maire gave me a lift to where I needed to go. To me, that is exceptional service. I didn’t have breakfast but I am sure that would have been excellent. I am sure I will have to go back to Longford, so I will be booking this place again. The house was easy to find and (for me) a 20 minute walk into town
