Uta went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted for breakfast ! I was amazed to find a very small thermos of milk for coffee in our room, no plastic containers to dispose of . The view from Bowden House was idyllic. Sheep, birds and rolling hills as far as the eye could see. We asked to meet her dogs and that was a real treat for dog lovers. Tiger and Sophie (?) big friendly wire-haired Vizslas.

Beautiful B & B and warm, welcoming hosts. Gorgeous location and scenic views. We were travelling to attend rugby in Melrose so were dependent on taxis. Hosts were able to recommend a very reliable taxi company despite it being the busiest weekend of the year! Breakfasts were superb. Have already booked for next year.
Guests are asked to vacate the property during the day ( until 5.00pm) Not a problem for us as we had an event to attend but could be a problem otherwise.

RULES state NO ACCESS to the house between 11 & 5pm, even 'tho it is our room, very unpleasant during hot or wet weather
