Lovely, quaint, traditional hotel in the heart of Melrose. My dog was as welcomed as we were and could even come with us into the dinner and breakfast rooms, which was a great bonus. We both ate a vegan meal which was obviously made on premises from original ingredients and very tasty. Breakfast was equally tasty with plenty of choice. Double room was spacious and comfortable.

I booked this room for my friend and her pets for two nights and from booking to staying and then collecting her when she checked out, everything was made so easy. My questions were answered so quickly and I asked if she could check in early and the staff very quickly got back to me and said no problem. The staff we lovely, the person at the desk who I met when I came in to collect my friend and her belongings was so kind and so helpful to us both. I cannot speak more highly of the staff and the whole experience. The price was incredibly reasonable and the fact that pets are welcome is brilliant, it took so much stress out of the situation and the hotel itself had such a nice atmosphere.
There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was exactly what was needed and then some.

Very friendly organised and accomodating Rooms available for meetings and they catered for two meeting groups on the evenings I stayed, Staff eager to help. A most enjoyable stay I would not hesitate to recomend them.
Being picky I turned up unexpected at 10:00 pm and the lady operating reception was working in the bar 9AS YOU MIGHT EXPECT)
