About this house rental
A beautiful, stylish, spacious home that offers a wonderful beach&ocean experience.
See, hear and smell the ocean from your home.
Prime location: Stunning expansive seaviews, very close to beach.
Recently renovated: modern interiors and tastefully decorated.
Designed for indoor-outdoor living: great for families, with ample separate and communal spaces to make magical memories
Our beach house was renovated in 2010 using renowned interior designers to the highest standard and to suit our entertaining needs, as well as the needs of our three growing boys.
It can sleep up to 13 people; with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the main house and a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom annex, there is enough space for everyone. (We restrict the number of adults to 8 though, as one of the bedrooms is suitable for children only (bunk beds)).
While most bedrooms face the ocean, the view from the master bedroom suite is particularly impressive, with ocean views from the master bed, and also from the glass enclosed shower and the Indian Ocean's crashing waves mesmerizing one.
Our beach house is located in Kleinmond - a relaxed, friendly and quaint little beach town and neighbourhood, allowing freedom for growing children to take short walks to the beach, cafe and local shops by themselves. The local shops and supermarkets are sizable and so closeby they allow for a car free experience. Larger shops, restaurants and further beaches are 30 minutes away by car. All windows on the ground floor are equipped with aluminium shutters for added security, in addition to an alarm system with rapid response.
We find our home away from home the ideal escape and place to relax, a true sanctuary - as well as a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. One can easily use this as base and do day-trips to Cape Town, Stellenboch, Elgin, Hermanus, Stanford, Greyton. Great wine farms (Elgin, BotRiver and Walker Bay) and alluring options for foodies (Kleinmond Harbor, Hermanus, BotRiver) are within easy reach.
With regards to outdoor activities, there is an amazing blue flag beach with golden sand that stretches for miles, and this is within a 2min walk. You are also spoilt for choice as a golfer - there are 2 golf courses within 15mins drive (including the renowned Arabella), surfing, snorkling, fishing, rockpool foraging, whale-spotting, tennis courts, mountain hiking trails (very close to renowned Harold Porter Gardens) and a breathtaking yet easy coastal walking path right in front of the house.

Great location - walking distance to Spar and Harbor road (Restaurants). 2 story set up works well with larger groups (bottom is great for the younger set) w ping pong and TONS of board games. This is a great set up for larger groups.....

We loved the place. There are many highlights, like the very high quality ping pong table, the huge dining room table, the indoor fireplace, and, last but not least, the coffee/espresso machine!
We also loved the main bedroom. It is very spacious. The outside barbecue works really well and was well protected when it was windy.
Loved the location, with a short walk along the rocky shore to the beach.
And, last but not least, the owner was very responsive.
Highly recommended.
