Good location, lots of wine farms nearby, right next to a lake for swimming and good braai facilities. Inside the cottage, the bed is very comfy and the room is very spacious.
The pictures are a little misleading w.r.t how close the other guests are to you. I would not say that the cottages are very private. Our cottage was one of 4 in a single building. They are individual units in that they don't have doors between them, but since the ceiling is made of bamboo reeds and there is no separation in the ceiling between rooms, you can hear just about everything your neighbours do and visa versa. Our neighbours unfortunately decided to bring a TV for their stay (the rooms don't have one) and so we could persistently hear it even when they turned it down at our request.

A quiet and peaceful location with beautiful roses surrounding the house that we hired. The lawns and braai area surrounding are also well maintained and there is a nice view from the verandah area.
The linen is of good quality and the beds are very comfortable.
The Manager/Owner is friendly and helpful and she arranged a helper to clean our kitchen so we could have a bit of a break from dishes.. The Manager was also accessible at any time if we needed info or something, which was a plus.
The area surrounding the cottages and dam is nice for walks or cycling and we did actually have a nice stay. It is close to other places to visit such as wine farms, the market at Elgin and other such places.
There were a few items that we were not happy with, but we should have told the Manager in the beginning, but I didn't want to moan. However the Manager did apologise and explain that they have recently purchased this property and are busy fixing up things/replacing items.
Unfortunately there was no swimming, which is however advertised on the fb advertisement.
When I enquired at the time of booking, I was told that folk swim in the dam. The photos on fb show folk in clear nice water, but when we got there the dam was dirty and slimy and not usable at all except for kayaking if you don't mind getting slimy feet. If we had known, we could have just packed a small plastic pool for the children to swim in.
