Everything and everybody at Eikendal Lodge were wonderful - the room was large and nicely furnished; the shower was great; the gardens were beautiful; breakfast was excellent; the staff was very friendly and efficient; even the other guests were very nice - really an exceptional experience.

We have often been in South Africa, in several places, but Eikendal Lodge is the best place we have ever been. It is comfortable, the personnel is very nice and friendly. There is a very good restaurant within walking distance. The views are fantastic: vineyards and at the horizon: Tafelberg. It cannot get any more romantic.
There is tv in the room, but the programming is meagre. We would have loved to watch SABC (Sewende Laan) of Kyknet (Boer soek 'n vrouw). But instead they had ZDF (Germany) and Bongo TV (What?). But, to be honest, we were not there to watch television, so this is a minor point.

We had such a lovely welcome and all the staff were super friendly. The location and gardens are beautiful and the whole place is so peaceful. Our room had a lovely rustic feel and was very comfortable. Fantastic selection for breakfast and we enjoyed the pool area one afternoon.
