Not completely what we expected

Spacious room. Good location to visit the surrounding areas.

It’s located at some sort of abandoned site which was a hotel before or a hotel which wasn’t completely finished. This made us feel a bit odd. The place has potential but to call it luxury is a bit overrated.

The apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. A lovely pool area and the location is great. Quiet with great views but really near shops and restaurants if you have a car. A car is definitely needed but Uber is an option.

A gorgeous property, in a stunning location with amazing hosts!

The property was stunning and very well kept both the apartment and the shared areas. The kitchen has was well equipped with anything you would need. A very safe and secure property in the estate. It felt very private and exclusive the whole time which was an added bonus. The hosts were nothing but amazing!! They could not have been more accommodating or done more for us, amazing when we moved between properties (as we had two separate bookings) they made this such an ease without interrupting our day. Anytime we needed them their response to messages were just fantastic!

Beautiful, serene and peaceful with lovely view of the hills.

Serene, quiet and relaxing. Comfortable and spacious with a mini kitchen that included every appliance.

The insides of the cupboards could be cleaned a bit better as they were dusty. Also the outside patio and table and chairs could have been cleaned better before our arrival.

An ideal home away from home

We loved everything. An extremely clean, lovely smelling, quiet, spacious, well kitted place with everything you might need! The mountain views are unbelievable and cannot be captured on a photo. The staff were extremely friendly. And finding the place was very easy as the estate is on Waze. We had quick access to Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek etc. The room (nr 7) was amazing with a 18m old as she could run around and we could see her everywhere at all times. And all plugs are higher which made this room baby proof. There are also all kinds of plugs making it so convenient. The swimming area and common lawn was also lovely for a little one. Hosts also communicated and checked in often. We wish we booked this place for a week but will visit again.

I was worried about seeing recent reviews but the “abandoned areas” did not affect us in any way and feel the reviews were a bit unfair. Any negatives for us will be nitpicking. I would just suggest bringing bottled water for drinking (but I am a water snob :) )

Beautiful location and views from this lovely apartment. It has a lovely pool and the apartment is perfectly spacious and has what we needed. Could easily explore all the beautiful vineyards and great restaurants of Stellenbosch from this apartment. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.

Was a good experience some minor issues unfortunatly did not make the stay exceptional.

I liked the spacious apartment, the bed, and the outside area. The "outdoor" shower was particularly nice. Thank you for the ice it was appreciated i left a bag to reciprocate.

No water pressure in the Bathroom basin, had to shave and brush my teeth in the shower not ideal. The waiters friend was of poor quality broke while trying to open a bottle of wine. No salt and Pepper... Directions were good however there is no remote in the key box (perhaps redundant) take it off the !

TLC needed.

Well equipped, nice location, comfortable beds.

Entrance gate gave us a lot of problems when trying to enter the property and help was not immediately available and the remote was not working. We were only told about the swimming pool being out of bounds 2 days before our trip, after paying in full so maintenance noise was right outside our unit. Bedding for sleeper couch was not prepared so we got to see the pillows without covers and they were disgusting! Bedding should have been ready to use rather than us having to put duvet covers on etc. I had a lovely private garden but couldn't enjoy it as the weeds were 40cms high covering it! It is also a construction site so loose tiles as we were walking were abundant. I would suggest general maintenance to ensure clients safety health wise is urgently required .

Exactly like the pictures. Beautiful, tranquil, safe and private.

The apartment is beautiful and the complex is very quiet and private. There are only a few units and you do not hear your neighbours. It is essentially a few rooms/apartments within a safely gated nature reserve-type area. The apartment has a Nespresso machine but there was only one pod in our room so you need to bring pods. They did provide firewood and fire lighters so we could make a fire as it was very cold and rainy. The hosts provided comprehensive check in instructions 48 hours ahead of time and were very responsive.

Some general improvements could have occurred such as the fact that there is nothing closeby for you to buy food (apparently the apartment is next to a hotel but via Google I could find no info on the hotel and whether we can go to a restaurant there). You can braai on the fireplace but there was no grid for the indoor fireplace. There could have been more coffee pods provided as luxury accommodation usually has this amenity. The vanity bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous guest's trash. Our power went off in the early morning hours so we woke up without power (it was not loadshedding) and there is a small backup power source to charge our cellphones but the wifi router is not linked to it so we didn't have any wifi and the area is quite remote hence limited mobile network signal to call an uber with. Small things that could be improved for the luxury standard.
