A beautiful, unique hotel surrounded by vineyards. The food in both restaurants was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time.
We would have liked more details about the wines when we had the wine tasting.

The entire experience was just fantastic. The property and the grounds are beautiful. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. We had our car valley parked, they provided a free coach to Stellenbosch, our luggage was taken up to the room once it was ready, the spa was great - we had drinks and food there and both were lovely. the room was bigger than expected, the bathroom top notch by size and cleanliness too. Great breakfast too. Did a testing and cellar tour, all was great. This was an experience worth while.
I must say we booked a dinner at one of the restaurants and while some of the food was great (we had pasta with seafood and oysters - that was great), but then some other things like the ribs were a bit average - upon reflection maybe I should NOT have had the ribs - it was ok, but once you are in a place which is exceptional on every other level you kind of expect all of it to be above average. Guess my advice here is - order something you cannot order elsewhere.

During the reservation process, I was shown photos of a specific upgraded room and completed my booking after receiving the room number for that upgrade.
However, upon arrival at the hotel, I was assigned a different room instead of the one shown in the photos and confirmed during booking.
As a result, I clearly stated that I would not accept or pay for the upgrade. The hotel management subsequently withdrew the upgrade charge; however, I did not stay in the room I originally selected, and unfortunately, my stay began with dissatisfaction due to this experience.
Positive Aspects
• Location: The hotel’s location is truly its strongest asset. It is beautiful, calm, and very special.
• Peaceful atmosphere: The overall environment is quiet and relaxing.
• Pool area: Pleasant to use, though somewhat limited in size.
Areas for Improvement
• Rooms & Decoration:
While the rooms are spacious, they feel overly furnished and visually busy. There are too many decorative elements and pillows, which detracts from comfort. A more minimal, modern, and simplified design would significantly enhance the guest experience.
• Modernization:
The hotel would benefit greatly from a general modernization, particularly in room interiors and décor. Given such an exceptional location, the current style feels dated and does not fully reflect the potential of the property.
• Restaurants & Dining Options:
The dining facilities are limited. With only two restaurants, outdoor seating options are insufficient—especially during summer. We preferred not to dine indoors with air conditioning, and finding available outdoor seating was challenging.
Considering the hotel’s location, I strongly believe there is a need for more and better-designed outdoor restaurant spaces.
• Pool Facilities:
The pool area feels too small for the size and positioning of the hotel. A larger pool would be more suitable and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
