we were put into 2 different rooms sespite booking a family room and gavingv2 kids. there was an invasion of ants. we sent an email to hotel and got no response.

A wonderful place to stay

This property is beautiful. It has fantastic scenery, lovely food and great wine. I must mention James who helped us through out our stay and is a real asset to this hotel. All the staff were great from the restaurant staff to the people who cleaned our rooms. When we asked for anything nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back. Our room had the most spectacular views of the lake and the mountains.

We had a great time at Webersburg and would recommend anyone interesting in the wine region to stay

comfy bed, spaciouis cottage with good kitchen and lounge area. Fantastic views and fresh milk in the fridge for drinks.

There is no onsite food option in the evening, The staff told us that most guests went out so the evening catering was not profitable. Understandable but it means you have to think about evening dining if you stay there.

While we will be back for the wines, sadly, I doubt we would be back for the accommodation.

Webersburg is a beautiful estate - the staff were lovely and the wines delicious. Breakfast is served in the main hall which is drenched in sunlight, in fact you have to wear your sunnies to breakfast - not ideal after all the wine of teh evening before :)

The cottage was cold and drafty, with a great big chimney sucking any warm out of the rooms. A nice cozy fireplace with comfortable couches would have been such a welcome savior on such a cold weekend. We selected the cottage so that we could spend time with our friends and ended up huddled in beds instead.

The location of the property is lovely. We attended for a function and the venue was perfect for the 100 + people who attended. The assistant manager “Teems” was a gem and really helped us with our problems.

On arrival late afternoon we were given the keys to Vine Cottage number 12 and not much else. A little horrified to say the least when we opened number 12. Tiny windows , no “lake view” , cold , unwelcoming. After complaining we were moved to number 8 which was like staying in a different place ! So much better. Do not stay in number 12. I don’t understand how the property can charge over R3400 a night for that place !

The location is nicely situated around wine farms. The views are very beautiful. The restaurant is very nice.

We didn't get the rooms we wanted. The water wasn't hot when we got there. After they switched it on, it was still not hot for a long time the next day.

Lovely stay at Webersberg

Room was lovely, big with comfortable bed, and the staff were very helpful especially Tims. Views over the lawn were great, especially for breakfast.

The pool was very rusty and dirty and needed a repaint, and the pool cleaner was hoovering around whilst guests were trying to swim. I left something at the hotel by accident (totally my fault), but despite the website saying they would look after all my personal and corporate needs, they weren't able to post it to me in South Africa even if I paid the postage. This would have been very helpful.

The bathroom, no table to put your stuff on, no shelf in shower, shower was blocked and mildew fungus on shower floor. Was overpriced.

No power for extended periods even though there is a generator. Towels are old and small almost like hand towels. Filthy ashtray left outside. Seems like nobody could care. Definitely not value for money!

Relaxing stay in Stellenbosch

Beautiful scenery throughout the property. The cottages are super comfortable, very spacious with everything we needed. Each room has an en suite bathroom which we weren’t expecting. There is also a gas stove which is useful during loadshedding. We’ll definitely be back.
