An exceptionally located, well appointed comfortable apartment

Absolutely fantastic location. Large and spacious property, well appointed. Easy to access, had a lift if you needed it and to help take luggage to top floor.

No soap or body wash provided, we had to go out and buy soap. The queen sized mattress had a double bottom sheet that didn’t fit properly, we had to go out and buy a kin sized fitted sheet. Nothing like a clothes airer to dry washing, as the dryer was a washer/dryer combo post that didn’t dry clothes properly.

Great apartment

Overall it is just a great appartement. Great location, comfortable.

Minor things: Kitchen appliances are difficult. Microwave is complicated and you need to read the book to make it work. The washing machine: we never managed to make it work. We sent a text to the staff but never got an answer.

A place of modern beauty in the heart of Exeter City like no other

Me and my partner were able to easily get into the property, stay there, have our own privacy, and check out again. The check in process was easy, instructions very clear, and I found the place right away easily. The place is beautiful, huge windows with natural light, nice and aired out, very modern, very comfy, a truly fantastic view and a place you can stay in for the day comfortably if you choose (which we did). It felt very safe, and the bed was very comfy. There was next to no noise at all while staying, and my partner and I dreamed about what it would be like to live together in a place like this - our relationship developed to the next level thanks to this place.

Amazing view, so central and just a lovely, clean, comfortable apartment for a getaway - we loved it

The VIEW!!! (see pic taken from the window!) The convenience of location, the cleanliness - the quick responses from James when we had questions - the huge windows that open right out onto the Cathedral Yard! - the fireplace - the rain overhead shower!

We didn't know to hold the electronic key fob up to a panel to get into the big front door and thought we were locked out till a local person showed us. Turned out fine, but we worried for a minute there!

Lovely week stay in central Exeter

Lovely apartment, clean and modern in a great location in central Exeter would definitely recommend. Close to shops and 20 mins from St David's station. Good heating system lovely and warm and good equipped kitchen and good oven and cooker. Dishwasher and washing machine are also there. Note, there's no free parking nearby but found some on the other side of the river on Wardrew road in St Thomas. 15-20 min walk to the apartment.

Checking in process was very painful and the communication was quite unhelpful. Repeated the same automated message. Got there in the end all ok, nothing rude or unpleasant just a needlessly complicated check in process.

Generally speaking the accommodation was good

We arrived at 9pm & directions were poor to the accommodation. GPS location co-ordinates were also incorrect. The building was covered by builders hoarding and we were provided an incorrect street number & no toilet paper on arrival.

Cathedral View - a stunning location!

Supreme location! Fantastic view. Comfortable furnishings. Adequately appointed with appliances and linens for our 3 day stay.

MINOR details! We experienced some difficulty in learning how to operate the decorative fireplace as well as the TV. We resolved the TV but found ourselves unable to use the fireplace. A phone call to Fresh Escape would have quickly resolved the issue for us as they were responsive to any concerns we had.

Excellent accommodation in a great location but could use review of management.

Lovely spacious apartment and beautifully appointed. Spotlessly clean and well kept. Amazing view right onto the Cathedral and it’s Square. Easy walk to station and the great Quay waterfront along the river. A couple of minutes walk from the Guildhall shops and Sainsburys.

The accommodation manual needs to be rewritten and updated. There was no information about the TV and the instruction manuals for the other appliances were concealed under trays in a kitchen drawer. The managers constantly email to ask if you’re happy but then push back if you have queries. We had no shower gel (all travellers have their own apparently!!) and this isn’t supplied due to environmental reasons yet there is handwash in the kitchen and bathroom and other cleaners which were very unenvironmental. Not to supply shower gel seemed inexplicably petty. Our impression was that Fresh Escapes don’t often actually inspect the properties regularly to see what can improve to assist the traveller. just manage from afar and if you question anything, you’re the one that’s at fault. Not enough cutlery to benefit from a dishwasher and blunt cutting knives. Choc chip cookies ( which we didn’t eat) but no cooking oil. Also note there is a group of rough sleepers living in the Square who appear to be spaced out a lot of the time and sometimes could be abusive.

Great location in the centre of the city, lovely view on to the cathedral and perfectly placed for shopping, dining and socialising. Apartment was lovely, airy, clean, nicely furnished and Set nicely to welcome guests.

It is really nothing that can be changed, just the parking is a little inconvenient and while the central location is really convenient, when leaving the apartment at times you were faced with the slightly less than pleasant aspects of city nightlife.

Generally, we enjoyed our stay very much. It's a very attractive flat and in a great location.

A very attractive apartment, with location and view excellent. Access very easy. Stylishly laid out. The open plan kitchen/living room area, aided by its high ceiling, feels really spacious.

The apartment on arrival was unnaturally warm. Even with instructions, we didn't manage to adjust the temperature. A few store cupboard basics would have been appreciated. Not offering any coffee pods for the machine provided, for example, felt a little stingy; or perhaps a small bottle of olive oil (cheap/supermarket would have been fine). Having nowhere in the bedroom to place ones clothes seemed a bit odd. Just a solitary chair would have been appreciated. The above comments aren't particularly big deals, but maybe they might be considered for future guests.

Lovely apartment in great location.

Excellent location overlooking the cathedral, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Everything you need is provided in the apartment. Very clean. Comfy bed.

Mixed Feelings.

Lovely position overlooking the Cathedral , however it was also the meeting place for a large group of homeless people. They were there from early morning until late evening, they were all drinking and seemed to be taking drugs, not ideal to have on your doorstep !!

Although the apartment was very comfortable, the oven and microwave were very complicated, we spent a good deal of time reading all the instructions. Something you really don’t need on your holiday. No oven gloves provided, so had to use the tea towel to remove items from the oven. No salt or pepper. No kitchen roll. Also no drawers in the bedroom so had to place loose items on the floor, for example under ware and sweaters. Also we were given no complimentary bath accessories, which we found unusual as this was sold as a luxury Apartment.
