Enclosed patio, lawned garden and garden furniture. 4-acre grounds (shared). Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the grounds.. Originally the coach house to the vicarage, this comfortable, detached holiday home has been restored and guests can enjoy a private area of garden as well as use of the owner’s 4-acre grounds. Set between the Rivers Deben and Orwell, The Coach House is a haven from which to discover this part of the country. Ideal to explore Suffolk and Essex with the town of Woodbridge and the resort of Felixstowe just a short drive. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 1 mile.

As long as you have a car you’re sorted. Owners are friendly but not invasive, & full of recommendations. The cottage had everything we needed and made a great retreat post-lockdown. The kids loved playing in the garden, I enjoyed sitting in the shade of the trees enjoying the peace. Lots to do only a short drive, whether it’s the beach at Felixstowe, we went kayaking at waldringfield, or exploring around Woodbridge. Or you can make use of the many footpaths/ trails literally from the gate of the property.

The Coach house is a wonderful place to escape to, away from everything but close enough to sea side and shops in Felixstowe when needed.
The cottage is an excellent find , comfortable, peaceful and relaxing!
But best of all was the welcome and support we received from the family, it was just like going to stay with friends for a week!
The venue is perfect for families with dogs. We have happy memories of walks through the lime trees in the garden to the footpaths to the river Deben.
Would we go again?.....of course!

Stay was July 26th to August 3rd 2019. My only disappointment is that we didn't book two weeks instead of the one. The cottage owners are the most helpful, caring and kindest hosts we have ever met. The boys, Maxi the Staffie and Booboosh the Terrier loved it with lots of walks and local wildlife to run away from!! They don't have much of their wolf like ancestry showing through being big softies. The cottage is a dream in a dream like location. We are going back in September and cannot wait. Many many many many thanks to the owners for looking after us so well.
