This lovely, coastal village boasts a fascinating past, set on the beautiful Deben Peninsula, with Bawdsey RADAR and Bawdsey Manor to visit. Ipswich can be reached by car or train, and offers a selection of restaurants and bars overlooking the marina at the dock. This is one of England's oldest towns boasting the youngest Grade I listed building, which is located in the centre. Explore the beautiful landscapes within Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), rich with wildlife, this region is home to saltmarsh plants, wetland and coastal birds and a wide variety of mammals. Take a long walk beside the sea, a brisk stroll before lunch and cycling along quiet lanes. Those keen to try watersports, there is canoeing, rowing and windsurfing, among many other outdoor pursuits, as well as kitesurfing. A wonderful region to visit, all-year-round!
