Quaint & Cozy in Killarney at The Priory - Relax under exposed beam ceilings. An Tigin is one-level, 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed, 1 bathroom, an open plan cottage with an inviting sitting room/kitchen. Built brand new in 2007. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a washer/dryer. Perfect for a couple for a weeks get-a-way.

Set on the door step of Killarney National Park we have four Courtyard Stone Cottages all of various design and layout. The cottages are tucked into a very beautiful and quite walled courtyard setting.

We are just off the Muckross Road. A 12 minute stroll into the Killarney Town Centre. A bike path to Muckross House and Gardens is across the Flesk Bridge.

Just a 5 minute walk to the INEC - Gleneagle Hotel and another 5 minute walk to the Killarney Brewing Co. on your way to town.

This was our first time staying in Killarney. We had driven through the town before, but never spent any time there. On this trip to Ireland we decided to make it our first stop. When we came across the listing for The Priory, it just sounded like the right fit. And was it ever! Tim & Bernadette couldn’t have been more gracious hosts. Friendly, helpful, providing plenty of suggestions and tips on the town, restaurants, activities and entertainment. The property is an absolute charm. Tucked away in its own little world of greenery, peace and quiet and yet you’re literally just a few minutes stroll from the heart and vibe of the Old Town. Did I mention that The Priory sits on the doorstep of one the country’s greatest public landmarks; Killarney National Park. Miles and miles of incredibly groomed walking trails, Jaunty Cart rides and biking. White Tail and Irish Red Deer cross your path as you stroll, making for majestic photo ops. Simply incredible. But it all starts with location and The Priory has that in spades! Suffice to say, when we go back to Killarney, we’ll return to The Priory. It’s a 10 out of 10!

Fantastic property and location. Very charming and quintessential Ireland. The shower is hot and powerful! The ONLY negative thing that I could say is that it’s time to replace that mattress! It was lumpy and poked me throughout the night. The kitchen facilities were great and it has everything you need. One of my favorite things about the property was access to filling up with fresh filtered water. The owners are fantastic and there for whatever you need. With a new mattress, this is a 5 star!!

This is a beautiful one bedroom cottage which was exactly as described. It was clean and spacious. We stayed for 4 nights and had all that we needed. We used the kitchen for breakfasts, but ate lunch and dinner out each day. This wasn't due to a limitation of the kitchen or set-up, it was based on our itinerary and that we wanted to try local pubs and restaurants. Laundry worked well. Plenty of closet space to unpack if wanted. The location was perfect for us. Easy walk to town and to the national park for hiking. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Priory. Bernadette was very helpful in navigating in, letting us know about events going on in town and was kind enough to invite us to check in early to avoid the event traffic. We had everything we needed to cook meals which allowed us to venture off each day after a big breakfast and explore the area. Tim has great tips for where to stop for unique experiences along the ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula (don’t miss Petite Delice in Cahersiveen- nice pastries and great coffee). The Priory is secluded yet there are a few cottages surrounding a beautiful, serene courtyard which allow for meeting new friends if you like a little socializing. We were surprised at how easy the walk to Ross Castle was. Also, the race/golf course is mere steps away and a delightful place to visit even just for a drink on the patio. Would definitely recommend anyone stay with Tim and Bernadette at the Priory. We will certainly be back!

Enjoyed the cozy cottage at the back of the historic Priory. It was just off a beautiful courtyard with direct access to the garden. Perfect for our Bernese Mountain Dog. Loved the smell each evening of peat burning in the stove. Great access to Killarney’s top destinations. Our hosts were great.

We absolved our stay here. The place is much bigger than I expected from pictures. The gardens/apple tree/flowers/ivy are gorgeous!! We loved the dogs&cat! Incredibly well behaved. The owners were on property in a different unit, welcoming, always ready with advise and great ! Overall this is secluded & peaceful, yet an easy 20 min walk to everything!!! Will come back here if we come back to Ireland!

A nice old house and spacious enough for the two of us. In its own grounds so amazingly quiet considering so close to a main road. The property was somewhat let down by a lack of some basic things (eg there were only 3 non-matching mugs - it would be easy enough to have twice that many), on top of which only half the gas rings worked properly. The biggest lack was the absence of any heating apart from the peat stove - and temperatures were cold for July, so the place felt quite damp till the stove was on. It would have been so easy to have a small electric heater somewhere to get some instant warmth when we came back from walking each day.

Everything about this property was perfect, from its charm and comfort to the indoor and outdoor living spaces, including the courtyards. The location was fabulous…close to downtown Killarney yet tucked away down its own quiet lane. Bernadette was super friendly and helpful, and her dog Teddy was his own welcoming committee. We stayed here so we could use this as a hub to visit multiple places during our trip. The a commendations were great and the knowledge of the owners was super beneficial to ensure we got the most out of our trip. Recommendations was a tremendous help to see things we did not know about. Would highly suggest a stay here.

Quiet re-vamped historic property in Killarney more attuned to "hip" younger folks who dine out, or rarely use the kitchen. More wine glasses than regular ones, and cooking pans finally found stashed away behind dead end cupboard. Floors haven't been deep cleaned in a long while, and we had to have space heaters supplied because radiant heating pump failed. Tenants have no control of heat in unit. The biggest issue was the unit was very musty, and de-humidifier in bedroom needed emptying at least twice daily. We had great communication the first 2 days by Bernadette who apologized for the lack of heat and supplied the heaters, then nothing for the next 4 days of our 6 day stay. One hand towel for 6 nights and no shower soap/shampoo or conditioner supplied. This was the only self-accommodation in our month in Ireland that did not supply shower soaps. Not our style of place, and no, we would not recommend.

This property was lovely and the location wonderful. It just the right distance from the town center so you could enjoy the array of restaurants, cafes and shopping, but come back to a quiet, relaxing home. Tim was very helpful and had wonderful suggestions for activities. Do them!! He's not wrong! If I get to come back to Killarney, I would love to stay here again.

This charming cottage was a short 15 minute walk to downtown Killarney. The shops and restaurants were all fantastic! Our hosts were friendly and helpful with local restaurant recommendations and things to do. The turf fire place was a treat to experience and added to the local flair of the cottage. We would definitely stay here again for our next visit.

The property was marginally clean and in need of attention in some areas (duct taped door trim, sagging sofa and chair, broken window blind on the door for example). But the biggest issue was the lack of heat, even though the description of the property included heating. The fireplace threw little heat, if any, and certainly didn’t warm the bathroom and bedroom down the hall. The owner was unresponsive to emails (and had given me no other contact info) until I contacted VRBO. At that point he did respond and then we understood that the owner controlled the heat and the thermostat in the cottage was useless. We were so uncomfortable that we checked out early and found more acceptable accommodations. The owner never followed up on our complaint of being cold or on why we left early. I do not recommend this property.

Excellent , a must place to stay if your in Killarney. The cottage was charming, beautiful and if possible better than the pics! The grounds are so lovely and the cottage itself , so perfect for a comfortable stay. The kitchen fully equipped, handy to have laundry and the sparkling and still water was so handy. Perfect location to access everything, we enjoyed that it was walkable to all the town action but on the doorsteps of the National park. Take Tim's suggestions in terms of where to visit while staying. A must is a day cycling through the park. Also enjoyed the Killarney Brewery in town. The local tour company Dero Tours also a must if your booking day tours, the guides are awesome with the humour and history , 10 out of 10 all around. Highly recommend was the best part of of Ireland vacation . Thanks so much Priory , Tim & Bernadette

The Priory was lovely and cozy and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and everything was in great working order. The location was perfect, walking distance to the park entry, as well as dining, pubs and shopping in town in the other direction. The communication was prompt and directions were clear from Bernadette and we had everything we needed in the cottage. She even took the time to suggest some walks and hikes in the area when we arrived and Tim provided a long list of suggestions and recommendations ahead of time as well. We will definitely stay again! Thanks so much!

I can't imagine a more idylic place to stay. From the close proximity to town center, to the secluded quiet neighborhood, I found the location just right. The cottage was well equipped and included wood burning stove/fireplace. Shower size was great as was water pressure. Loved the chilled sparkling water on tap. The owners are very welcoming and have done a wonderful restoration that I found quite cozy. The gardens and courtyards are full of colorful blooms. I stayed three memorable weeks and look forward to returning someday.

This is the quintessential Irish experience. Stone walls, peat stove, walk to Ross Castle and National Park, as well as the Killarney town center. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The perfect place to explore the western part of the isle. Would highly recommend.

Nestled in the heart of Killarney is this beautiful apartment! The owner's were super helpful with directions or suggestions on where to eat. Accommodation was absolutely pristine! This is a great place to stay! My only complaint would be that we had no control of the heat so it was very cold in the morning when getting in the shower. And I like to watch some tv at night before bed but there was no tv in the bedroom. Other than that awesome place

The Priory entrance posted with a stone sign on an old Irish wall, setting the tone. A long winding drive led to a small entrance into the Priory. Beautiful and what one would hope for in Ireland. Flowers abound , with fountains and old stone walls to complete the scene. Very enjoyable.

Just an outstanding stone house, remodeled to its current amazing state, with the living room wall a remnant from the late 1700s. Walking distance to the Killarney Brewing Company and the world's greatest convenience store/gas station. ... A short drive from downtown Killarney or even a long walk. Great stepping off point to all Ireland has to offer. My only regret is not staying there longer. Great hosts and wish I had more time to talk to them.

Location good. Utensils, including Delph, saucepans, cutlery, glasses etc not clean and really old . Couldn’t use oven as it was so bad. Actually bought 2x dinner plates, 2 x glasses and 2 x spoons in Dunnes stores to use . Luckily I brought a supply of Disinfectant spray with me. I used a full bottle of Milton to clean the kitchen area alone. The cloths supplied for the kitchen were musty , so again I had to buy cloths to dry the few dishes we used. Considering the present climate with COVID so prevalent the least we expected was at least one small bottle of hand sanitizer, none to be found anywhere, again I had brought some with me. I could not recommend this property to anyone as we found it to be way below the most basic acceptable standard. .
