Secret Mountain Paradise

La struttura è completamente immersa nella foresta, completamente fuori dalla caotica e occidentale Ella (una piccola Las Vegas fra le montagne). La famiglia che ci ha ospitato è fantastica, gentile e davvero disponibile. La stanza in sé è molto carina e costruita internamente a mano dal padre, falegname e carpentiere. Nel complesso una piacevole esperienza.

La distanza da Ella è sia un pregio che un difetto: ogni volta che si vuole fare qualcosa ci si deve affidare al tuk tuk della struttura e alla loro capacità di guida tra le stradine impervie. L'unico vero difetto è l'odore molto forte di umido in camera che copre tutto, magari con il tempo andrà via.

Beautiful peaceful location near the lovely though somewhat boisterous Ella. Could have happily sat on that balcony forever. Well looked after by staff who have a tuktuk and respond instantly to WhatsApp messages making our stay and adventures in the area an easy pleasure.

We had the most amazing stay at secret mountain paradise, we extended our stay to have more time here and would 100% return. Chavi was an amazing host, he prepared delicious varied breakfasts, did laundry for us, gave us lifts to and from town in his tuk tuk and even drove my rented tuk tuk down the steep driveway for me when i wasn’t confident on my own. We paid for him to take us up to the monastery where he personally showed us around. We booked the 3 bed room (white one, not the wooden one) which was just as beautiful as the new wooden room. It felt completely private in the middle of the jungle - we saw barking deer and porcupines from our balcony. The driveway is a bit steep but chavi will drive you up and down in his tuk tuk if requested, you can park your vehicle just one driveway up, and it’s an easy walk back to the main road for taxis. To debunk the bad reviews: water pressure and heat was just fine, you won’t get a high powered shower anywhere in mountain country! We didn’t hear sound from the monastery at all, even if we did it would have been worth it for the beautiful view of it lit up at night right from your window. The room smelled completely normal if not nice lol. Great stay, would definitely recommend.

Doordat het in het bos lag was het lastig bereikbaar en was je geheel afhankelijk van transport met tuk tuk.
