Convenient for town pubs shops
Furniture very badly soiled but guess that's because it's pet friendly understandable no outside space for pets

The location of the property was perfect for our trip. Access was easy and parking was not a problem in general on the roadside. The information given was easy to access and follow. We were left some essentials to keep us going.
The host was very timely in responding to several issues we had and was even prepared to come out on Christmas Day if necessary.
Sadly during our stay we lost power in the bathroom more than once, meaning the light and fan did not work. My husband showered in the dark but I had to find an alternative place to shower.
Also, the heating played up. Twice not coming on at all and once coming on when it was meant to be off. We were able to make do with a fire to warm up and thankfully the weather was not freezing otherwise it would have been a bigger issue. However, it made sleeping uncomfortable and was generally a pain to have to try and manage.
We went to cook one night but there was not a big enough pan for the two of us, bit odd.
Sadly I feel short-changed from this visit and will have to look elsewhere for my next trip.

This cottage is so well appointed with everything an individual or family needs for their stay and it's location is in the heart of the historic Derbyshire Dales with stunning landscape all around.

Really cosy cottage in an excellent location in the Peaks, close to great walks. Dog friendly, and though snug, had everything you might want or need in the kitchen etc. The water pump for the shower had broken before our arrival, but was fixed by the owners reasonably quickly. Comfy bed after a long hike, and plenty of on-street parking.
Though the bathroom and kitchen were clean, the property as a whole was really dusty throughout and needed a good hoover. The bathroom was very cramped, and the walk-in shower didn't drain well leading to standing water in the bathroom.

What a fantastic little cottage. Superbly located in a lovely village that for rural Derbyshire is overly blessed with amenities. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The hosting and service provided were above and beyond my expectations. All in all an absolute gem.
My recommendations for any future guest would be the fish and chip shop, the pubs and some easy but visually stunning walks. I wish I had had more time to stay and experience what proved to be a memorable experience.
If I was pressed to find fault, my only observation was the TV. It worked and to be fair I was not staying to spend the time perfecting my couch potato skills. But the operation/settings/functionality was a bit of a phaff. It did work fine once I had mastered its unique peculiarities. As I have said, the location and local attractions kept me occupied and watching TV was way down on my to do list. Other than that everything was clean and working.

Super cosy cottage in Tidza. Excellent for walking, including the dark peaks. George Inn is a nice pub and the coop nearby has everything you need. The cottage warms up quickly and has all you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Loved it!

Very cosy cottage - perfect location. Loved the little touches around the cottage.
Would highly recommend - lots of shops in village. Great organic meat from the butchers.
Walks - would recommend Tideswell to Monsal Head and Chrome Hill as looked like something from the Hobbit!

Soft mattress topper over an old coil spring mattress that had collapsed in places and was creaky

The shower bottom is the bathroom floor, so the bathroom can get a bit wet after having a shower

We loved it all. It is a really lovely cosy cottage. We took our two well behaved dogs. I hadn’t researched properly so there was no yard/area to let them out but that was my oversight and I can’t judge the property owner for that. We had a fabulous time. It’s our 4th time in Tideswell and we will be back. The locals are always so very friendly and there are beautiful walks and drives from the doosrstep.

A small bolt hole central to the village. Plenty of shops, pubs and cafes within easy walk. We enjoyed walking the nearby Monsal trail.

Tideswell is a beautiful village traditionally Derbyshire stone built cottages and houses hidden away from the main street and a huge Church named the Cathedral of the Peak District - One cottage has history going back to 1432 (opposite CoOp)
Our cottage location is ideal for the pub directly opposite (Horse & Jockey) and just a short walk to the local shop(CoOp) and bakery post office and local cafés and chip shops We visited all 3 pubs in the village and enjoyed great food and beer in all of them The weather during our stay was continual rain so forced us to go to the pubs (didn't really need an excuse)
Disappointed that Hi Nellys cafe was closed but will return in the Spring when hopefully it will be trading again

The cottage was ideal for my husband and myself. We were out walking during the day and it was ideal as a base. It was warm and cosy and had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay
The shower wasn’t amazing

Good location, lovely village. Very clean and everything provided.
Lounge was awkward and had to rearrange the chairs, but very little room. Single bed had a very uncomfortable and noisy mattress. Shower was a trickle and took ages to get warm. Parking was sometimes quite far from the cottage.

Lovely to arrive to find fresh milk and treats.
Accommodation was warm and welcoming. Thank you. Loved the fire too.
Maybe a small side lamp for evening time as spotlights were bright, but minor suggestion.

Well equipped kitchen
The noise of the water tank!!

The switch on the lockbox could not be triggered with a finger, It was stiff so I used my car key. The bathroom floor would benefit from a rubber brush to push the water to the drain thus keeping the bathroom floor dry instead of so much fan use. Also less electricity for the owners.

Cute little cottage in perfect location and proximity to all local amenities, everything you need for a comfortable stay and I mean everything!! Log burner a bonus! Loved it and booked to come back in December on the second day we were there!!
If I had to pick a fault it would only be the size of the living room but that's being picky, it didn't bother us at all!
