Robin's Nest (Top Cabin)

The view was amazing

Lovely location, well-equipped, beautiful views

Some of cooking utensils could have been slightly better and no oil :(

Could use more storage solutions - Such as, a bed side unit. Tiered sofa. Wood supply tarpaulin kept us awake in the wind. Limited hot water.

1. The cabin was located on a quiet farm which was good for some downtime away from any traffic. 2. Upon arrival it was very warm inside which was great as we had been in the cold from a hike, the key was already in the door. 3. Selection of teas/coffees was good with milk sachets in the fridge. Bathrobes, hairdryer were hidden in a drawer under the bed, if i had not checked we would have never known though. 4. TV comes out of the bed fine and has many apps to stream from- not sure if connection is good as we did not use this. 5. Comes with a few misc items to help clean and dry the use of glasses etc.

1. We booked the cabin with the hot tub being the major reason. Sadly the fire took a while to get going due to the bottom of the stove was wet. The timing of getting the tub heating takes 2hrs so this proved even more of a struggle with the wet stove and the check in time being 4pm. The fire did it's best with a second attempt but it just wouldn't heat up the tub in time before dinner so unfortantly had to give in so there goes the extra £65 for the hot tub when only the wood was used. After hiking all day it really was a dissapointment. We ended up going to The Bull's Head for dinner instead as it was getting late with no good results with the tub and we were exhausted. 2. Hot water for the shower only lasts 6-8mins with a 35min wait for heating up again which was a shame, between two of us i ended up having a cold shower and it was just another dissapointment and wasn't flagged in other details prior to the arrival/booking. It's noted that the cabin has a water tank but just seems like there were little notes that aren't mentioned on websites which can really effect a customer's journey/stay. 3. It would be really great if the track would be lit up with solar powered lamps as in the darkness and foggyness of our stay after coming back from dinner it was hard to see where the track was ahead of us etc. 4. The counter tops felt somehwat sticky. 5. Getting in and out of the cabin with the doors seemed difficult- we both had a hard time opening the door the first time round. 6. Had to take rubbish bin with us- could not locate any bins at the end of the drive for the bin bag as mentioned in the cabin's folder so we ended up taking it with us to the next town over on our journey...
