Really quiet and private location, cabins are really well spaced out and have a beautiful view. It was nice and warm even in October, and the bed was really comfortable. Amazing pub 15 mins walk away
It was particularly difficult to find even with the lengthy instructions sent over. It would have helped to be given a What3Words or something given the address doesn’t show up on Maps, and to have better signage around the site to get to the cabins. However, other than that the stay was lovely!

We had a fantastic stay at Hares Retreat – Middle Cabin. The cabin was spotless, cosy, and very well equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. The location is peaceful and beautiful, making it the perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Peak District. We especially loved sitting outside in the evening and enjoying the quiet surroundings.

The position, the facilities and the thought that had gone into creating the area.
Great views, and a short walk to an excellent pub/restaurant.
Nothing, really. It would be a bonus to have a small (half acre?) enclosed dog-walking/running area. The choice of micro-grade gravel for the sitting area at the cabins doesn't work. It gets walked into the cabin even when shoes are religiously removed.
Very minor comments on an excellent site.
