It was clean, tidy and comfortable. Ideal for coming in after long walks.
Heating was noisy when it was switching on, kitchen needed more utensils or usable cooking ingredients (oil, butter etc)

Lovely property in an excellent location, a short walk from shops and restaurants and within an easy drive of Bakewell and Buxton. The house was comfortable, warm and well laid out with everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Everything was great.

The cottage was warm, cosy and welcoming. We loved the shower and open fire. Thank you for the treats left to welcome us. Tideswell has lots of history and great pubs too!

Great location, warm, owner was very responsive, comfortable bed.
The sharp kitchen knives were pretty blunt. Would have been nice to have some wood for the log burner to get us started.

Lovely two bedroom house overlooking the postcard perfect village of Tideswell. Property has all you need for a comfy stay. Owner was easy to contact and dealt with all enquiries very quickly and ensured our stay was without any issues.

We loved the cottage it was warm and comfortable
There were good amenities nearby had some amazing take away Pizza on the first night.
Highly recommend the lounge for breakfast and coffee. Beautiful setting and walks
We struggled to get the key as it was dark and the outside light didn’t work. Would also be handy to have a light on the back as when we let the dog out at night we couldn’t see him. Also might be nice in the winter to leave a few logs to start you off.

The hosts were very communicative and helpful. I stayed here last year and the improvements to the sofas, doors and windows were noticeable and very much appreciated!
Some of the crockery weren't as clean as they could be (rings in mugs etc) but this wasn't a major issue in any way. I think having a dishwasher in the property would finish it off nicely!

The house was spacious and clean, perfect for 4 adults sharing. The welcome package was a nice touch and providing tea and coffee was lovely. The area was fantastic and the village was very picturesque with a lovely pub, restaurant and cafe all in walking distance. Communication from Steve was fantastic and gave us clear instructions before arriving. We had everything we needed for a two night stay.
There wasn't anything we didn't like. The church bells took some getting used to but other than that it was fab and it didn't take from our stay. Light sleepers might find the noise off putting but the bells aren't as loud at the back bedroom.

No number on the door - would be easier to find with this we felt but minor issue really

Spotlessly clean. Fantastic kitchen facilities. Roomy bathroom with walk in shower on same level as bedroom. Enough space outside to park 2 cars.
Great location.

Great location. Perfect parking facilities. Would love to stay again.
Just need to watch small dogs in the garden - my Westiepoo (terrier size) managed to get under the fence into the garden next door. Luckily she wasnt there long and we managed to call her back through with a treat.

A wonderful weekend away. The cottage was in a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. The hosts were fantastic, plenty of communication prior to our stay and easy to get hold of when we had a question. Highly recommended! We will be back 😁

Beautiful little cottage, felt very spacious. Host's left tea coffee sugar milk and bread for our arrival and even provided towels. Excellent location, lots to do in the area, great local pubs and cafés, well worth a visit.

Lovely property, nice and comfortably furnished and beautifully situated out of the active village but with easy access to it.
Great safe and roomy parking for my precious steed (just to be clear a car not a horse in this case).
Its a small thing, but quite important after an 8 hour drive. There was very, really very little toilet roll in the bathroom. Its a good job I bought two rolls with me, but I really think this particular consumable should be included in the deal.

Just got back from a great bank holiday weekend stay with the family. Everything was brilliant. Took 2 dogs, and they even loved it. Steve would reply ever so quickly if needed and recommended some great places to visit during our stay. Some supplies on arrival and a lovely bottle of wine to top of a great stay. Fantastic weekend. Would highly recommend, in such a lovely location too. Thanks again, Steve.
There is nothing to like. Exceptional.

Host very helpful beforehand and allowed us to drop off stuff early. The location is fantastic, very quiet but easy walking distance of several pubs, cafes, shops in village.
Clean and comfortable, lovely log burner
A chair in the bedroom would be useful- Can't think of anything else!!

Great comfy cozy cottage. Lovely log burner and shower to die for. In a central position with secure off road parking, everything on your doorstep. Owner is very knowledgeable and recommended restaurant etc for us and our dog. We eat out on Sunday at the Red Lion in Litton and oh my god the food was fabulous. Only a 20 min walk to the next village. All pubs were very friendly in the village. The owner left a welcome pack of bread, biscuits. milk and a nice bottle of red. We had a great stay and the property was so warm inside which was perfect when it was minus outside. Definitely stay here again, thanks for a great weekend.
Nothing place is fabulous

A lovely house in an ideal location for us. The house has up-to-date fixtures and fittings and is comfortable, clean and warm. Easy access to pubs, cafes, shops and walks.
If I have to be picky, the dining table could do with a clean in it's crevices.
