The breakfast was exceptional- tables full of one delight after another, eggs cooked to order, delicious cappuccino, all served by the friendly and warm owner, We were upgraded to the Giglio room, which opened out to the garden, fragrant wisteria in full bloom. The beds were very comfortable, the room spacious and as throughout the property charmingly decorated with vintage finds. Old world charm, with all essential twenty first century amenities such as good wifi, lighting, and plentiful electric outlets.
Lucca is about a 10 minute drive, the hosts are warm and gracious. We'd return in a minute!

Management was excellent and very nice. The home was built in the 17th century, which was amazing! We loved the decor and ambiance. What a treat to stay in such a historic home. Breakfast was very good with so many options.
Beds very very uncomfortable, the train, even though it was electric, was a bit noisy. The shower was a bad situation. Without any notice, it would suddenly turn scalding hot (literally) and then immediately ice cold. It was a horrible experience trying to get soap and shampoo off of our bodies before the next scalding. I ended up getting out with soap still on my legs and just drying off. I am a travel agent and would love to place clients here. However, until new mattresses are installed and the water situation fixed. Then I can’t do that. To the manager, please let me know if/when these items are taken care of so I can add you to my lodging list. Thanks!!

Beautiful house, lots of charme. The owners were very kind, helpful and friendly. Amazing breakfast with lots of Italian cuisine. We loved it !
