the best dormitory in Puerto Escondido - nice family-run business - bonus swimming pool!

I usually avoid dormitories, but this one was so lovely and clean that I was very happy. There is air-con, but the weather was quite cool so I didn't need to use it as the ceiling fan was fine. The swimming pool is a lovely addition, and the open kitchen is a great place to chat to others. I also found the location to be excellent if travelling by bus as it is a two minute walk, while the beach is about ten minutes if you can find the shortcut!

Nothing to complain about - I will stay there again next time I am in Puerto Escondido

It's a very nice hostel for a super good price. It's clean and has a very cosy area to just chill and relax. The location was perfect for me - close to Ado station and not far from Carrizalillo beach. There's lots of nice places to eat around as well.

The staff was friendly. As much drinking water as possible was available.

No hot water. The cold water in the bathroom tap was a trickle. Practically no water pressure to shower.

Helpful staff. Very reasonable price. Decent shared kitchen space. Would recommend for travellers on a budget. Clean and good value. A decent location as it’s walking distance to shops, restaurants, buses and nice beaches.

Minor issues considering the reasonable price but there isn’t much storage (ie rails) to hang clothes in the room we had. We booked a room with a private external bathroom which is a bit awkward to access at night as it’s padlocked for privacy.

1 week stay

The staff were excellent, they had great English (our Spanish is not good) the hostel was very homely and we felt very comfortable there.

Privacy in the apartment didn't feel great when we first moved in because the curtains didn't completely close, but by the end of the trip we felt much better about it as nobody really ventured down to the balcony at our end of the complex.

A relax stay in Puero Escondido

The location is just 5 minutes from ADO bus station or the local minivan station. I LOVE the mango tree in the middle of the garden. It gives free mangoes all the time. You can have as many mangoes as you like. And they are SWEET! They have hot water for shower. They have air conditioner. They have big locker for every one. There is plenty of hammocks to chill if you don't want to do anything. There is a shared shower room outside of the guestroom so that you can take shower before your night bus even though you have checked out.

Excellent hostel, would stay again.

Very chill hostel, comfortable room/bed with very effective AC. The staff were lovely, especially Dray at the front desk. Within 10-15 min walk to both playa Manzanillo and Playa Carrizalillo. And 10-15 min walk to the main beach. Would definitely stay again.

Wifi cut out a few times, but overall worked fine for us and didn't impact our stay

Amazing. Came back a 2nd time.

The dorm beds are insanely comfortable, with air con in the evening it's perfect. The common area with pool and kitchen has hammocks and is a nice spot to meet others. It's got an amazing mango tree and the place is located very close to the bus station, the big supermarket, and collectivo stop going to la punta.

The kitchen is great but could do with a bit of a clean and tidy throughout the day. Sometimes the toilet wouldn't flush.

Very social hostel. There is a nice pool, nearby 2 beaches. I mostly liked how social it was and there is a mango tree with fresh mango's :). They clean every day.

When you wanna be nearby the party's it's better to stay in La Punta. The mattress was not that good, there was a hole in it.

Decent location, nice pool and public spaces, helpful staff

Very scratchy sheets, curtains barely covered the windows, not a lot of privacy. That being said, it was a cheap private room in a hostel, so I felt I got what I paid for

I liked the location a lot, not in Puenta so a bit more chill and less touristy. Easily walkable to the big beach, and the small beaches. Nice group of travellers staying there. Really nice and big inner courtyard, good for hanging out. Air conditioning at night. Close to the bus station.

I stayed in a 12 bed dorm and it was much better then some 4 bed dorms I had. I slept so good :) very clean aswell, they exchange your sheets every day! you can walk from the Bus Station by foot, Playa Carizarillo, Playa Principal, Restaurants and little Supermarkets (and a bigger supermarket) are close by

Great spot, just don’t stay in a room that faces the street.

Property and staff were fantastic. Tons of amenities and easy walk to great cafes and the beaches.

Unfortunately the street noise was so loud in the private Double room with the balcony and en-suite bathroom. I wanted to love it but I could get past all the street noise.
