A great place to stay if you want more chill vibes

Very nice hostel with great staff and people staying there! The first night I arrived was a Christmas Eve and we had a little dinner all together - it was unforgettable moment! The beds are comfy, 20 mins walk to the nice beach and lively area with the restaurants. The staff is very helpful and friendly which makes the stay even more pleasant!

A great hostel with excellent staff, very clean and ideal for staying in Centro.

Inviting staff, clean facilities and location offers a soothing hostel vibe near Centro. The hostel cats are also friendly and welcoming. Good vibes all around, I would absolutely book to stay here again!

Good for quite beaches, however, owners are not helpful

Nice location for exploring the more quite beaches, good common areas for connecting

Beds in the 8 bed dorm are saggy. Owners are not really communicative nor helpful. I asked to change the bed and dorm with the intention to pay for it, owner just told me its my problem, have to deal with it. Gave the stay a downside.

Beautiful place with creative souls with warm hearts

The staff was extremely accommodating and knowledgable it felt very spacious and the place itself had a very grounding energy. You can see the care and intention that Casona holds. There’s a beach about 20 mins walking from the location and the volunteers showed me the most beautiful sunset spot. Very grateful for the experience.

Bikes being out of commission was the only challenge.

Casona H is a home away from home, such a peaceful and cool experience ! The team is lovely, all common parts are well maintained and this house is just so charming ! Close to everything you need in the Centro, close to market and cool beaches like : Bacocho, Coral and Carrizalillo Attention to surfers : The only spot you can reach out walking is Carrizalillo, the wave is begginer friendly and a bit choppy, can be good on bigger swell, not as crowded as La Punta which is nice. Also the kitchen is very handy to cook your own meals ! Loved my stay, 10/10

In the dorms adding a full curtain for privacy would be such a simple but life changing upgrade !!

i liked the stay at this hostel. it's great that they have a free bikes, so you can get really quick to the beaches. the staff are all super friendly. the kitchen is big and has everything you can ask for.

even though there are ventilators on every bed, it is really hot. and one of the toilet seats could use a fix ;)

Loved everything. 15mn from Carizalillo my favourite beach in Puerto. Amazing staff and voluntaries. Big bathrooms and separate toilets outside. Wifi is tricky but that’s the case in the whole town. Beds are comfy, people are respectful of sleep time, while the common outside area is perfect whether you want to connect or to chill in a hammock. Truly felt like coming back to family every day ❤️

I had a private room, which was extremely comfortable and quiet, with shared bathroom. The hostel is set in a garden with a pleasant temperature. Staff was very helpful.

I would have preferred to be closer to the beach as it is almost a 30 minute walk to the nearest beach. It’s stifling hot (in late March) once you leave the hostel compound.

avoid private bedrooms.. not worth it

if you are looking for a place to stay near the airport, this place offers a good price/quality. the staff is nice.

We had a private bedroom but the location of the bedroom was terrible… we were surronded by the shared terrace so no intimicy and at night people coming from the bar speaking at our window and lights directly in our face. I don’t blame the people on the terrace during the night, it’s a shared terrace, I just don’t think a room should be there. It feels that the best way to experience this hostel is probably in one of the dorm, the private rooms locations are not great. We were supposed to stay there 3 nights, on the first day I asked if we could ger a refund for the 2 others nights because it feels that the description of the room was not accurate. They accepted to refund only 1 night and we decided to leave anyway the 2nd day. The guy at the hostel was super nice, I was feeling bad and the decision was coming for his boss. That was just not a fit for us and not what we expected based on the description and photos.

Fantastic hostel! Excellent location, very handy for the beach, the airport and the local market. The casa is superb, two big terraces, spacious kitchen, laundry corner, hammocks, bikes for guests. Rooms are cozy and beds are free very comfortable. It's a hostel that invites you to relax and that makes you want to stay.

This is cool and quiet place to stay. A lot of shared space. You can chat with other travelers, work or lie in a hammock. Bikes for free. Close to market with fruits and vegetables and walking distance from supermarkets, so you can cook yourself easily. There are common dinners by volunteers, thank you guys.

Great place to stay with homey vibes.

Great place to stay, very nice people and property. There is no troubles with showers, everything’s clean. The staff is super nice. It’s in the centre, outside of the craziness of La Punta, so that’s not for everybody. There are many amazing beaches walking distance, restaurants and shops all around. And a quick colectivo ride to La Punta.
