Good if your staying overnight just to catch your flight.

It was a nice private room. It was clean, spacious, and had AC. Very close to the airport and 27min walk to the beach where they do turtle release.

The owner had warned me they had a bar until 11pm but the big group of people stayed long after 11pm so there was a lot of noise. The toilet seat like foamy type.

The owner is super helpful and kind. It it very well located from places that the local people actually use, like a Tortería around the corner.

It can get a bit noisy at night. Some mattress are better that others. Lack of little amenities in the room, like a night lamp, towel hanger etc. But may be that is MX standard.

An ok stay in Puerto

The owner was very friendly and social. They helped me with what I needed. Kitchen is well equipped so you can cook and prepare stuff.

It’s far away from the epicenter of Puerto Escondido, the room is very simple and doesn’t have door to the bathroom. It may be a good option if you’re on a budget but otherwise, it’s not very enjoyable. Also, the wifi works only on the common areas which are packed with people so you cannot really work.

The best of Hostel Pescador is definitely Miguel and his family, who received us truly well and provided us with a true Mexican NYE, where we learned all the Mexican traditions, had an amazing dinner with drinks, and a great commonplace (Bar/Restaurant) to enjoy each others company. I'm sure Miguel and the Hostel will keep on having tremendous success, and I couldn't recommend the Hostel better, it was one of my best experiences ever.

Miguel and his family were very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. The hostel is next to the market and 20-25 minutes from a several nice beaches by walk. Very good price for Puerto Escondido. Room was very clean.

The commaraderie at the bar was superb.

The hostel includes a restaurant and bar. The first night was such a good time. Much of the community was there, eating and drinking and watching futbol on a big screen TV. It was my best experience in Puerto Escondido by far!

Terrible place, never to return!

Bathrooms and showers were clean. Beer and coffee available.

One of us got bed bug bites from the cement crypt we slept in…closest to the wall. Number 4. The whole patio is done in SAND?? To emulate the beach perhaps?? This just makes the whole place dirty and dusty all the time. The bathrooms/showers open to the main social area so there is no privacy coming or going from the bathrooms or the showers. You have to brush your teeth in front of everybody. There is only one toilet for women while there is two for men. The couches are filthy…. but there is nowhere else to rest. people actually sleep on these overnight . The kitchen is disorderly and dirty without a sink to wash anything. Cockroach city. The pump on the water bottle didn’t work. There seems to be no concept of service or aesthetics, or what is “standard” in the larger world/hospitality industry. This is a terrible place and we would never return. we paid for two nights and left after the first.

Very good price/quality, good wi-fi, very broad and comfortable bed, very friendly staff. I came in the morning and checked-in. The staff even prepared food for all the guests at Christmas night! You may use kitchen and it has lots of utensils

There is no hot water in the shower. There aren’t any rules that people mustn’t make noise at night. There were lots of guests who were singing almost crying at night, the music was playing very loudly, so nobody respected the people who were sleeping

Really nice place with a great vibe. The host are super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. We slept in the dorm and the beds where really comfortable. Perfect with fans and AC. The bar/restaurant is also a big + DELICIOUS pescadillas and good prices. Would 100% recommend!

I would recommend staying here. good value for money

The most comfortable bed I have slept on in Mexico. It is bigger than a single. The linen smelt so fresh & clean. The staff are all lovely There is a big market just around the corner for food or meals. The food in the restaurant was great & Great value for money The hostel was very clean There was always toilet paper in the toilets, which was greatly appreciated. The dorm room was great for sleeping. Dark & very quiet- could not hear outside noise.

There are security lockers for your valuables but besides that, there is no other security, although the area seems relatively safe. I didn’t like that the toilets & showers are so close to the restaurant dining area. I think maybe some kind of screen to divide it would be beneficial.

Está súper cerca del mercado, de Aurrerá y de zona comercial. A un par de puertas está un súper y enfrente una farmacia. A la vuelta a una cuadra y media hay un lugar donde se come bien y a precio accesible.

Al ser un lugar con el wifi compartido con muchas personas, la señal no es muy buena.

De host Miguel en zijn vrouw waren erg aardig, de plek was goed gelegen, in de buurt waren veel winkeltjes en marktjes en de kamer had airconditioning en goede bedden

We hadden een koude douche, maar door de warmte buiten was dit niet altijd vervelend. Het kon in de avond soms wat luidruchtig zijn, aangezien het ook deels een café is. En als ik wilde koken stond er altijd iemand in de keuken te koken waardoor ik me wat opgelaten en niet zo vrij voelde om daar bezig te zijn.

No tuve oportunidad de probar alimentos dentro del hostal porque me indicaron que no había servicio de alimentos en la hora de mi llegada ( 2:00 p.m.) La ubicación me pareció excelente, para la actividad que tuve. Camas muy cómodas. Excelente relación calidad-precio.

Me hubiera gustado que a mí llegada (2:00p.m) ya hubiera estado lista mi habitación . Sin embargo tuve que esperar aproximadamente 10-15 minutos a qué la terminarán de limpiar , a pesar de que había anunciado mi hora de llegada . Ya que Solo disponía de una hora para descansar después de mi check in. Así que se redujo mi hora de descanso

Excelente lugar para alojarse en Puerto Escondido

La familia que lo lleva es de lo más agradable y simpática. La habitación tiene aire y ventiladores, lo que te permite dormir y descansar a la perfección. Todo el alojamiento es muy limpio y tiene todo lo necesario. Además cuenta con servicio de bar/restaurante. También te permiten usar la cocina para cocinarte, Nuestro bus salía a la tarde y nos dejaron dejar las mochilas y quedarnos hasta entonces. Excelente lugar para alojarse. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

La atención del personal fue excelente, desde la recepción hasta las indicaciones para disfrutar y recorrer Puerto Escondido. La ubicación esta buena para llegar a las playas como a otros puntos de interés de la ciudad, mercado, centro, terminal de autobuses.
