the street was so quite. the garden was lovely to sit out in watching the wee birds. the house was warm and comfortable. The beds were super comfy. great location and yes looking a the waves from the snug a added bonus. it’s very quirky with the old stuff but obviously the new additions are coming to all areas which are a nice touch. Felt like being at home. our little dog loved it. me and my mum will definitely return. shop and pub round the corner which serve excellent food. This is our fourth visit to Whitehills and would highly recommended this home.
our only grumbling the shower tray I would say needs attention.
Yes the bathroom is downstairs like most fishing villages homes every one we have stayed in but the owners have put night lights that assisted with night time tinkles.

This is a wonderful part of the world. The Moray and Aberdeenshire coasts are bursting with clifftop walks and beautiful secluded beaches. The whole area seems to be a suntrap, and it's just a perfect choice for a summer holiday. Whitehills is a small enough village to have character, but large enough to have a decent shop and a chippie. The house is an old stone-built cottage with nice gardens, and a feel of privacy at the back where we were able to have breakfast in the sun every day. The owner was helpful in agreeing to have us take our two small dogs, although the official limit was one - that was much appreciated.
Nothing we really disliked. Potential renters might like to note that the single bathroom/toilet is as far in the house as it's possible to get from the main bedroom. So a trip to the loo in the middle of the night is a major expedition. Also, the extensions to the rear lack the character of the main house - with lots of grey pebbledash on view. But we didn't really mind, as it was a cosy base in a superb area. We would happily book again.
