A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Galeazzi – Worth Returning to Lake Garda For!

My stay at Hotel Galeazzi was absolutely exceptional. The hotel is beautifully maintained, spotless, and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything I needed — every request was answered with a smile and efficiency. The breakfast deserves a special mention: honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had in Italy. The selection was incredibly extensive — from fresh pancakes and pastries to healthy options with fruit, yogurt, and grains — and everything was made with local, high-quality ingredients. You could truly taste the care and authenticity in every bite. I booked a single room, which was perfectly furnished with everything you might need during your stay. The room had plenty of natural light, was exceptionally clean, and felt comfortable and peaceful. Housekeeping did an amazing job every day. Overall, Hotel Galeazzi exceeded every expectation. It combines charm, comfort, and warm hospitality in a beautiful setting. I’m honestly considering coming back to Lake Garda just to stay here again!

The restaurant wasn’t open, no room service, couldn’t call down to reception & I was exhausted after a long day of flying & work. Would have been needed. Also TV wouldn’t connect on apps like Netflix etc. even though the options were there.

Comfortable hotel.

The hotel is close to the center and the check-in and check-out procedures are fast. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are good. The air conditioning does not work well. We booked two rooms with a balcony. One of them cannot open the door leading to the balcony. There is a malfunction in it. The breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly. There is parking.

The air conditioning in my room was not cooling well and the pillows were uncomfortable.

Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, and improvements are needed.

The hotel's grounds were well-maintained and visually appealing, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Breakfast offered a variety of options and was generally good, although we were disappointed to find that the scrambled eggs were served cold. Additionally, we encountered some issues with service during our stay. On two separate occasions, the barista forgot our two orders in a row, requiring us to remind him. The positive aspect was the spacious underground parking available for a fee of 15 euros. Our room featured two balconies, providing ample space to relax.

Despite booking a room with a lake view and paying accordingly, we were disappointed to find that the view was limited to just a few meters of the lake. The noise from the nearby road, compounded by the lack of effective soundproofing, made for a disrupted and early wake-up despite attempts to block it out with blackout shades. The staff's level of attentiveness and service left much to be desired, especially considering the caliber of the hotel.

Friendly clean hotel in great location for exploring Lake Garda. Close to restaurants and Lake front

Great location with easy access to both Gardone and Salò which are both great towns for eating. It was great to have a pool for the end of the day. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, huge choice of cakes and pastries and cooked breakfast too. Rooms were spacious. Staff all friendly, especially Sara on reception who was excellent.

The bathrooms are dated with very small shower cubicles and shower that does not sit in the holder well. But plenty of hot water. They charged for towels for the pool which felt unnecessary.

Disappointing

The hotel is at the coastal road of Lake Garda which is both good (central position) and bad (traffic jams likely). The AC does what it should without beeing too noisy.

Does not meet the 4 Star they have in my opinion. The establishment is pretty battered (see picture). What did they do to that TV in order to look like that?! The rest of the interior looks similar. The whole room smelled from acetic. The prize for a small room like mine is well overprized (135), 70 bucks per night max. One has to pay 15 bucks extra for the underground parking lot. The breakfeast room feels unclean especially the coffee machine (one whould think at least in Italy they know how to treat it accordingly). The breakfeast selection is not stunning or made with hearts.

Even in the run-up to the booking, the contact was very courteous, friendly and helpful, and the reception on site was very warm. The rooms were very pleasant and, despite the comments to the contrary in the reviews, not noisy or clairaudient. The breakfast buffet surprised us with a wonderful variety of dishes. The cappuccino was excellent. Unfortunately we couldn't use the pool because of the bad weather. Covered parking is possible.

Great location, fantastic staff!

Location was good for the port area and supermarket nearby. Pool and outside lounge area was reasonably large and comfortable. Breakfast was probably the best we’ve had during our 10 days in Italy (which included an expensive 5*) and service was good. Good coffee aswell!. Rooms were clean, well arranged and comfortable. Big ‘shout out’ for Sarah on reception who was extremely helpful on everything!

Helpful staff, great location.

The hotel was a short walk from the lake, local restaurants and water taxis. The pool was well stocked with loungers and the gardens were lovely. The staff, particularly Sarah and Aziz were very helpful and kind. The owner came out with his brolly to keep us dry when loading up the car! The breakfast was delicious- coffee made perfectly to your liking and a lot of choice.
