With a Golf course near by, guests have a range of activities close by. For those who want a challenge walk the Mt Mania track and the several bush walks nearby. A range of white sand beaches maximum 35 minutes drive. Watch the sun set at night and sunrise in the morning.

Studio very well appointed, except the bed was very hard and smaller than what we are used to. Harbour views at high tide were lovely with Royal Spoonbill and other seabirds. The toilet bowl bleach/deodorizer was intensely overpowering, and pervaded the living spaces, which spoilt the experience.

I really enjoyed being away from city. It was very quiet and loved the dark nights. This location was my Northland base while sightseeing. Make sure you visit the new art museum and the attached Aqua restaurant is excellent.

This is a superb modern studio holiday apartment which is situated directly on the harbour side. It is tastefully furnished to a high standard and has all of the essential amenities for a relaxing break. Theo and Raewyn are great hosts, and you are made to feel very welcome right from the start. I stayed as a solo independent traveller, but this would equally suit a couple. I would recommend Ripples and Tides to any person travelling to this area of New Zealand.

This is a unique holiday unit to stay in . At high tide the waterline is to the lawn of the property making it a great place to rest and relax , our second stay at this property and if we are up that way again we would definitely return .

We arrived to the place easily with the very thorough directions and settled in quickly. The place has everything you could need and the view was just lovely. Wish we had the time to stay longer and make use of the kayak to get out on the water. Will have to come back for another stay.

Sadly we only had one night in this beautiful place. Check in was so easy, my husband was straight out with camera while I settled into comfortable accomodation. Bed super comfortable, bedlinen so soft. We always cook because I'm coeliac and lactose intolerant. Very good cooking facilities including plug in frying pan. Large fridge with separate freezer, great for freezing our chiller bag blocks.

Lovey place to stay, I loved waking up and looking out across the water with the pukekos wandering by. Everything I needed (and more) was there. Sad I wasn't able to stay a bit longer and the weather right for an opportunity to go for a paddle.
