Had an old style gracious charm in a very quirky part of the old city. Excellent base. Nice touches and interesting decor. Well equipped kitchen for two - not sure that would be true if four or more?? Nice to have coffee and spices and olive oil provided!! We self catered!!
Stairs quite challenging after walking around Edinburgh all day!!! Or if you’d left something in car!! Exterior and stairs slightly daunting - but lovely once you were in the apartment. Bedding could be better quality??

The location is perfect. The main points of interest, shops, and pubs are all within walking distance. I really liked the layout of the flat. We were four adults, and we all had enough privacy to sleep comfortably.
The flat itself is OK, but the building doesn´t look very clean.

The apartment was close to Edinburgh castle which I had asked for.
The 72 stairs that I had to carry suitcases up, I understand about no elevator in older buildings, but, being older it was difficult for me to take cases up and then down. Plus it was very noisy until 2-3am each night.
