About this bed and breakfast
Pickmere Country House is a Georgian grade ll listed building dating back to 1772, originally built as a farmhouse, it was the largest of its kind in Cheshire. Commanding picturesque views over the surrounding countryside the small family-run hotel is situated in the centre of the village of Pickmere.
Full English breakfast is included in the price. We are fully licensed selling a selection of wines and also beers from a local micro brewery. There is a pub within easy walking distance and also some great pubs and restaurants all within an 8 minute drive.
We are situated just 8 minutes drive from Knutsford and 6 minutes from Northwich and because of our proximity to Warrington, Chester, Liverpool and Manchester is ideally placed for both business and leisure. We are a 4 minutes drive from M6 junction 19, 10 minutes from M56 junction 10, 20 minutes from Manchester Airport and convenient for 30 wedding venues in the area including Tatton Park, Arley Hall & Gardens, Delamere Manor, Oak Tree of Peover and Fernside House. For coporate guests Radbroke Hall, Booths Hall, Birchwood, Daresbury and Gadbrook Park Business Parks are nearby. There is off road car parking and bicycles can be housed securely.
We have 7 en suite bedrooms. 4 bedrooms are superior doubles with king size beds, 1 superior twin/double room, 1 family room with a king size and 3 single beds, 1 king size standard room in the garden annex (suitable for guests with dogs and for those not wishing to climb the stairs). Free wifi available throughout the house.
Breakfast is served between 7.30 to 9.00 Monday to Friday and 8.30 to 10.00 Saturday and Sunday in our dining room. We offer a full English breakfast and lighter options. There is also a selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juice, toast, tea and coffee. We cater for vegetarians, vegans and special diets.
The guest lounge has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV with free view channels, a small library, a piano, children's’ toys, card and board games and a gas burning log fire.
The small garden has a south facing terrace where guests can sit out in the summer and enjoy a pot of tea, a glass of Pimms or Prosecco.

We booked the whole of Pickmere House following my sister's wedding and it proved to be an excellent choice. Everyone said the rooms were lovely and breakfast was great. Easily accessible. Felicia was always available to answer my queries during the booking process. Would recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Beautiful old property in the village of Pickmere. Excellent experience from start to finish. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to all. Comfy beds, fantastic full English breakfast and licensed bar, what more do you need!

For several years we have booked self catering houses through HomeAway for our annual family reunion. This year we needed a place near Knutsford with accommodation for multiple family members so that we could attend our nephew's wedding. Pickmere Country House was perfect. It is an historic building with a very clean and comfortable interior. Our hosts, Felicia and Tony were very hospitable, helpful and professional. The only significant difference between staying at this guest house and a self catering establishment was that we did not have to do the grocery shopping, cooking and washing-up ourselves. We were provided with excellent, freshly cooked breakfasts each day. We also took advantage of Pickmere House provision of two evening meals for 15 and 8 diners. We were able to choose from excellent menus and the meals were enjoyed by all.
We are pleased to recommend Pickmere House without reservation, we enjoyed a wonderful family gathering and felt extremely comfortable and very well cared for.
