We stayed in the three bed cottage, the cottage was set in beautiful surroundings. The two double rooms were a good size. Bedding and towels were clean.
The beds in the third bedroom are described as 2 single beds. They are bunk beds, this should be included in the description. The description also says there are 2 sofa beds in the living room. There was one sofa bed (which was very springy and uncomfortable). Check out is at 10.30am yet a cleaner came to do something to the hot tub at 10am. We were shocked as wasn’t expecting someone to access the grounds when we were still there. The check in and out process was just at the bar, there was no information shared and just basic interaction. Many of the pots and pans were dirty

It was cold in the room heating didn’t seem to work probably because radiator was behind sofa. Tablet was discovered on the table I have no idea what the pill was rather dangerous though if we’d of had a kid with us. The cabin overlooked a car park & to access our hot tub we had to come out the front door as there was no back door, walk around the side of the cabin where everyone from the car park could see us not very private. Cob webs in the room everywhere. Not very good Internet connection TV kept going off & on couldn’t get most channels. Food in the pub was terrible especially for the expense chicken looked as if it was ordered in by an external company frozen, then reheated to serve, nothing was fresh tasted bland. All in all very disappointing, this was meant to be a birthday present.

Fantastic location, lovely staff and great food in the pub. The cabin had everything we needed for a lovely few days stay. The inside of the wardrobes were a little dusty. The hot tub was amazing
Nothing everything was great, the dust inside the wardrobes didn’t put us off.

Nice walk to Croxden abbey.
Very dog friendly pub and the Sunday lunch was a big meal and tasted good.
Very friendly staff.
Parking next to the cabin.
Large beer garden/ field ideal for the dog to run round safely.
Kitchen was quite new. T towels and sponge , washing up liquid all very much appreciated.
Cabin looks tired and the bathroom is in near of refurbishment.
Cobwebs all inside the bathroom radiator.
It said toiletries included but it was just soap , no shampoo.

Loved the pub, old features, lovely fire place. Most staff helpful and friendly.
Check in was rushed. I wanted to wait for my friend to arrive in their separate car before been shown our lodge etc. Lady left for home only 30 mins after so had to find the lodge ourselves.

Everything was excellent, it was cozy, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean and booking in and out was a breeze. The restaraunt was reasonably priced but high quality and the bar had a wide range of drinks.
Had to put the sheets on the double bed ourselves but because everything else was excellent it didn't ruin our stay.

Great stay, very well equipped cabin, there is everything you need. If you don't fancy cooking the pub on site is great. The food is top notch and the service is exceptional. Great menu choices and drinks choices. Special shout out to Eva she has great customer service skills and made our stay even better. So if you'd like a nice relaxing countryside trip, The Raddle is the best place to choose!

Surroundings, friendly staff and quality of the food. Well appointed for the village hall where our friends had their party.
There were two problems the television remote did not work and was notified to staff. The main one was that one of the two settees - leather one - seating was collapsed.

Location is scenic. Lots of parking spaces and outdoor facilities for kids. Friendly stuff keen to help. Self-containing cabin, missing only coffee machine.
Filthy outdated facility requiring a bit of more love to make it to the standard.
Food in the pub next to it feels re-heated rather than fresh.
No internet for 3 days despite of the attempts by multiple staff to fix it.

Great location, lovely views and good value. Had everything we needed. Loved the Hot tub.
Slightly dated decor but at the price it was good value and it was clean.

Lovely location on the site of a country pub. Comfortable cabin, well equipped with beautiful views. Well placed for a short trip to Alton Towers.
No problem with there being plastic glasses, but some wine glasses would have been a nice touch. (it was that good this was the only very minor gripe).

The location was excellent for Alton Towers
When we entered the cabin (mid August) the heating was set to full whack 32 dress with all of the radiators on. The property was absolutely unbearable. We had booked accommodation with a hot tub so we could relax and enjoy time as a family, but given how hot the place was there was no way we could get into a hot tub and get back into a hot cabin too. This was disappointing, I don’t understand why the heating was on in the middle of August. The kitchen cupboards were all covered in finger prints, the bins were absolutely disgusting with no bin bags in them. There was no dish clothes to wash up, yet washing up liquid was provided. The carpets were dusty and the bedsheets were stained.
I wouldn’t stay again.

Comfortable, spacious and confined.
I had no tea :-( I could have easily gone and ask for some but I was wet from the hot tub before I realised. (not a big deal but bad for for me at that moment :-D)

Location is excellent. Surprisingly quiet considering there's a pub right there! Free bouncy castle in the garden which is priceless.near alton towers and dimmingdale.
Bed was a bit hard and creaky. Maybe not the cleanest floor but clean enough. There was a hoover anyway!

Great location. Lovely view and near to Alton Towers. Friendly staff. Cabin was clean.
Cabin is a bit tired but was fine for a one night stay.

restaurant was a cute little pub. staff were 100%
no clear numbers on the cabins so i ended up driving all the way up then having to reverse all the way back down. the cabin was a little disappointing. there were no 'welcome pack' to refresh us after the journey (tea/coffee/milk) the plug socket was making noises in the lounge the bedrooms smelt musty. not very clean (food under one of the beds, dusty skirtings)

A great location close to Alton Towers. The pub serves great food all be it a bit pricey.
Paid for a hot tub with our cabin but there was a huge infestation of wasps and flies making it impossible to use and enjoy. Room was really dated with a strange lay out inside however if you’re only using for a bed it’s fine.
No enforced noise policy with multiple cabins in very close proximity. The family/friends next door to us up until past midnight outside and very loud.

The location and view
They knew how many were coming. The sofas beds had to be made up by ourselves and then one was broken so two people had to stay in a different cabin. Staff said people before must of had a good time on the sofa bed and broken it!

Bad smell of damp and mould as you walk in.. Shower leaked mouldy. Needs deep clean.
8.0 / 10.0
Location great as we were going to Alton Towers and that was 10 mins away. Hot tub was lovely but the jets don't all work but still lovely. Not easy to get somewhere for that price with a hot tub. Kitchen facilities and lounge/diner comfortable and spacious. The pub is a very short walk from the door and that was handy for help from the staff and a lovely Sunday roast. Wanted to eat in one of the pods which look fun but is £5 more on top and it was a bit chilly so didn't bother.
I had booked 2 singles in the second room but it was bunk beds, not great for 25 year old and 17 year old. The top bunk bed hadn't been changed and the sheets were horrible. It was rectified but the girl who brought the bedding had to leave and so I had to make it myself. It is very old dated lodge with that 'old lodge' smell but it was a good price so I guess that is what you pay for.

A little ‘tired’ and cobwebby!
