Ellastone, woodland lodge with hot tub for 8

Excellent location to Alton Towers. Hot tub was great size for the size of our party. Kitchen was very well kitted out for us to cook. Lovely restaurant a short walk away.

I honestly can’t say anything that we didn’t like, the place was excellent.

The hot tub was nice. The scenery was beautiful. And the kitchen appliances was plentiful. And a bonus having a washing machine and dryer. The staff seemed nice aswell. The toilets was nice. The building was very clean on arrival. The roads are good to get around the buildings. A nice little walk in the woods with a pond first thing in the morning was very nice. There was cleaning supplies some bin bags. Which was a good touch. A key pad lock box for the key so you don't have to worry about loosing it out in town. But it was a very cosy experience. The log fire is a exciting touch. And all the heaters have a boost button so if its cold. Perfect for warming up.

A few things could of made the stay better. The toilets have locks on each one but don't actually work so had a fair few accidental walk in on people. I know that the rules are there for a reason but I think they are over the top its supposed to be a relaxing holiday and it was just so much. I think its 22 ish rules for the hot tub alone is a perfect example of it being too much. And the lovely messages of charges for damages or septic tank really does take away the holiday feeling. Just out it in a guest booklet. And the first night the wifi wasn't working. And we was in a area with no signal or data really. Not the best impression for the first evening. It was fixed very fast the next morning. But we paid alot of money so would expect the full service provided. Or a reduction offered but nothing on that regard.
