Great location, friendly staff and great food, but suffers a little in peak periods.

Location is excellent, direct beachfront access and plenty of restaurants and amenities within a 5-10 minute walk.

Beds are large but uncomfortable. We also found housekeeping to be sometimes unreliable or late - probably because it was high season, but several times we did not have fresh towels provided or the rooms were not cleaned until late into the afternoon (despite us being out from approximately 8am and having the 'please clean the room' sign on the door).

Good location. Lovely beach out front great for swimming. Great massages and restaurants just along the beach. Happy hour twice a day, 2 for 1 cocktails. Lovely restaurant setting.

Breakfast was okay/decent. The maintenance team eventually fixed our shower.

Billing Issues: Despite our booking showing breakfast included for 4 people, we were charged extra for the kids' meals. We were told we received an "upgrade," but the room felt dated and standard. If this was an upgrade, I am concerned about the quality of the original rooms. Our room was at the end of a corridor near active construction. It felt stuffy with very poor ventilation. Bathroom was extremely claustrophobic. The shower was broken upon arrival and required three separate calls to front desk before it was finally repaired.

Peaceful luxury surrounded by palm trees and the sea!

Loved everything about Eden Beach Khao Lak! Mediterranean vibes mixed with Thai ambience! So peaceful even though the resort was full it was the most relaxing stay we’ve ever had. And the views are incredible! Swim up bar with views to the prettiest beach. The staff were just the loveliest. The rooms gorgeous, bed so comfy! The food and breakfast buffet was sensational! Can not wait to return!

Free upgrade to deluxe. The staff all smiled. Everyone. Everywhere. Nice little bunch of restaurants and bars etc down the hill. Bed big and hard enough for some big sex.

Relaxing

Stylish and modern-looking, but with charm. The huge pool is fantastic, with many areas to relax and some in the shade in the afternoon. Being right on the beach makes it perfect. Private enough, not many people walking on the beach. The spa is lovely. Great location for Elephant Home visit, Phang Nga bay island hopping, and seeing some temples. Far from central Phuket though.

No ventilators in the breakfast area so got a bit hot there. Cocktails are ok, but not great.

Beautiful resort and great staff

We spent 5 beautiful days at the Eden Beach Khao Lak. The rooms are very confortable with amazing bedding and lovely Balinese style decoration. As we came after the high season we were upgraded to bigger rooms The resort is vast with lots of trees and pools and the beach is really nice with few hotels . The food in all 3 restaurants is really tasty with lots of choice at very reasonable price. The hotel offers complimentary daily activities and I enjoyed morning beach yoga and the small gym. Very welcoming and professional staff , with a special mention to Mickey at the reception who offered us great advices and services with the usual Thai kindness.

Nothing but more shuttles to the city would be a +

The location was great. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Pool and leisure facilities were excellent. Restaurants were good, albeit a bit more expensive than local restaurants and bars.

The shower in the room was a bit dated.

Look closer

The rooms and reception are lovely. The hotel looks like it is high end and beautiful on first glance but when you start looking at the nitty gritty you can see the cracks. The pool area and grounds again appear beautiful but when you look closer, the sunbeds are all sun bleached and worn, no one works to maintain the area during the day so rubbish and glasses are left often so then attracts flies. The pool is stained and has mud and sand in it because the beds are on poorly maintained grass so you get muddy getting in and out of the pool. There are hundreds of flies which i get it is nature but they sit and fly in your face all day. The pool bar only has one member of staff on which both times i went to get a drink I was ignored for a length of time: plus it is double the price of anywhere else. The breakfast was varied and of good quality. The rooms were well designed and well stocked. The immediate area is surrounded by other large hotels and then a small village of restaurants and shops. There is a free shuttle bus every evening to khao lak centre and the market 3x per week.

Stylish hotel in a calm place

Nice hotel with big pool and beautiful little beach. The room is spacious with toileterries. The staff is ok, however lady at check in first was convinced we had booking for 2 instead of 4. After some time and some calls she confirmed reservation for 4, which cause a bit of unnecessary stress. Breakfast is great and dishes at lunch bar (for charge) were good quality. The territory is rather small but you can walk also in the nearby hotels. The beach is nice and sandy. There is a little area outside of hotel with some shops, restaurants and massages. The sunsets are beautiful but the beach is rather dirty when going for a walk.

A beautiful hotel, where we could relax and enjoy ourselves.

Beautiful gardens, room aesthetic was very relaxing. Staff were always friendly . Lovely beach front location, food was good (but breakfast was disappointing especially eggs Benedict) Happy hour drinks were a reasonable price. Large pool, so plenty of space to swim.

Poorly managed, from check-in where we were just asked for passports (no hello, welcome etc), breakfast should be avoided between 8 and 9.45 no tables, cups or glasses at times, food not replenished.Breakfast is until 10.30 and they start clearing away at 10.30 on the dot, so it's no wonder everyone rushes to be in before 10.Lack of available sun loungers, thanks to the German guests, they were even reserving breakfast tables! The first 2 days it was impossible to find a spot by the pool. This could and should be managed by the staff. Would be lovely if the hotel was adults only.

Beautiful and relaxing

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we got a free upgrade to a sea view room and it was gorgeous! It was so clean and we had new towels every day for taking down to the pool on top of the towels just for the room. Great choice of breakfast with fresh eggs cooked how you like them. The pool was big to swim in and we used the pool bar a lot! (Cocktail hour 1-2 and 5-6). The sun loungers do get taken up quickly so you need to be down by 9.30ish latest to get a good one. The cafes and restaurants on site served delicious food including wood fired pizzas and delicious cakes. The beach itself is just stunning! Perfect for watching the sun set. You can walk straight out into the sea from the hotel. The sand is soft and there are nice beach bars serving local Thai food.

The spa facilities / massages were so overpriced that we didn’t use it. Literally just next door on the beach you can get a massage for a quarter of the price. We don’t mind paying a bit more for service but this seemed so high. Some of the bbqs/ events where they put on live music at one of the restaurants in the hotel was quite highly priced too which meant we missed out on seeing any of the entertainment. You can walk into the town area where there are some bars and restaurants, massage parlours, shops and travel agents.

Amazing stay at an absolutely gorgeous place.

Amazing place, on a very charming, relaxed and family friendly location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Beach is fantastic. Rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. Nice pool area and gym is functional and on an adequate level. Nice breakfast.

Restaurants a quite slow and honestly there is better value for money on the beach or in nearby village. Little uncomfortable with all the small birds flying in around the breakfast area.

I wish that we got some information about the activities as yoga and free shuttle into Khao lak city. We found out about the shuttle by reading reviews on booking.com. But when we asked for transport the day after, they were already fully booked, so we had to take a taxi. Also wish for softer beds.

We loved Eden Beach Resort and will definitely return if we find ourselves in Thailand again.

The resort was beautiful, lots of natural materials used in buildings, eg bamboo. The staff were very friendly and accommodating - they were able to accommodate our request of putting our rooms next to each other and ended up upgrading one of our rooms in the process. The pool was lovely and happy hour was twice a day! The resort grounds were well tended and very beautiful. The location was great, right on the beach and also within walking distance to the little town nearby. The breakfast was good with lots of Western and Asian options.

We had a leaky tap in the bathroom which was fixed initially but then started leaking again right after the maintenance team left. We didn't contact them again but I'm sure they would have come right away if we had. We had an issue with the shower also, which was fixed within 20mins. That was the only thing that was a problem but it wasn't even really a problem!

Modern hotel. Nicely furnished rooms. A great cafe with a pastry shop. Excellent food in the restaurant, very tasty pizza on the beach

Some staff were rude. Some may find the location of the hotel on a hill full of stairs to be a problem. The beach could be looked after better, lots of rubbish and oil stains. Small selection of dishes, mostly repeated. One day the ham was spoiled. Several guests complained, but nothing happened.

Everything about Eden beach is good, except a couple of things on this trip there,rooms are really nice, swimming pool , excellent, food good. Staff very nice, gardens beautiful.

Unfortunately we had problems with tv, hardly any channels to watch, picture freezing up.also very hot in buffet breakfast area,need to install more fans.but nothing Major,it was very hot on our trip so not easy to keep area cool .

A pleasant at Eden Beach

Really good beach, main pool area was nice, fish ponds & waterfalls very good. Room we had was pool access & good outside but small sitting area for 2 chairs & table but made do. Room was well set out & good futniture.

Well, when we arrived were given a poolside room and the room and especially outside was very ordinary. Pool looked very unloved, broken or missing tiles, dirty walls and rust stains. Outside gardens around pool and apartments were very unkempt. Overgrown Grass 150-200mm long, weeds, unfortunately all looked very unloved & tired and neglected. Only 1 seat outside yet 2 person room. We emailed the manager (Pure) with a list of our issues & he was knocking on out door within 1 hour. He couldn't of been more accommodating, he showed us 2 more rooms in a different part of the complex and we had a choice. Got another poolside room & it was excellent. The manager followed up the next day to see if we were happy & also gave us a voucher for 2 for a dinner buffet. 10/10 to Pure the manager. Outstanding.

Beautiful hotel with a very relaxed vibe, great for families.

Beautiful hotel in great location in Khao Lak. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, clean and very tastefully designed. We had breakfast only option, breakfast buffet is really nice. There are 3 beach restaurants just next to the hotel (access via beach after pool area). We ate there a few times and food was always delicious. The pool area of the hotel is fantastic, we spent most time in the shallow section because of pir 2.5 yr old son. The litte village is just down the hill, maybe 5min walk. It has everything you would expect from a Thai village, good food, money exchange, knickknack shops, 7/11, tailer and massage places.

The upstairs restaurant where the breakfast is, was extremely hot. I know its the hottest season in Thailand, however the heat up there was almost unbearable. To make people aware, the hotel is a bit on a hill with 2 flight of stairs to go down to the pool/beach. For people with difficulties walking good to know.
