Nice room, Beach, pool. It’s a shame the staff don’t seen very focused or professional. The whole complex need more atmosphere, decoration and much nicer restaurant for breakfast.

The location was a little bit away from the main road, but had easy access to the beach. It's a bit of walk to the main road. Liked the room conditions.

Been here before and it's pretty decent with a nice beach and okay breakfast buffet. A bit pricy for what you get. They rebranded to kokotel with more focus on sustainability it seems. Don't miss the best lunch and dinner place to the left of the hotel, Cafe and bar. Great food and very low prices.

The pool and the beach are nice. Beach towels are provided. The room was kinda run down. It smelled of a moldy underground cellar, the wall was cracked and paint was bubling off. The faux leather of the chair was really worn, sheets had holes. One big towel smelled and had brown stains on it the other was really frayed with loose strings dangling from the edges. The worse part was the washing room. There were poop stains on the outside of the toilet (Yes, it could be wiped. No, I didn't want to know that). The shower tiles seams were moldy - yes, it was also easily swiped of at least to some extend. The rain shower head was missing the silicone part, that helps to control the water flow and to makes it more smooth.

We called to the hotel ahead about the room availability. But we were not informed about the renovation. We decided to book a pool access room. There are renovations every where. We could not swim in the pool. The workers are all around and even sat down on our terrace to the pool. We planned to stay 2 nights but lucky enough, we booked here just 1 night and stay in another hotel which was far better. I sent a mail to Hotel.com with all the pictures and complained, there is no reply. Please consider a refund!!!

The pool location was poor and only got sun until 1pm however there was lack of sunbeds on the beach area. Brek Man (the man that cooks the eggs) was the highlight of our stay, he was friendly happy funny and took the time to get to know the customers. The local was great and the town was wonderful, had great bars, restaurants, shopping and massages.

The modern side of the hotel is just perfect. The space, the decor, the view...all amazing. The down side is the intermittent internet connection. The internet was very poor service. The breakfast was OK...we decided to eat out. But others seemed to be enjoying it. I would go back and just ask for a room with better internet...:)

I stayed for 1 night at the Suwan in December 2014. The pluses -- nice pool with adjoining hot tub, great location on the beach, excellent buffet style complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelets in an outdoor setting near the beach. The minuses -- my room smelled musty when I walked in and had a dim look even with all the lights on. The shower water was only hot for about a minute and didn't drain properly so there was standing water in the basin throughout my stay. The room was on the ground floor looking out onto a vacant dirt lot. I recommend inquiring about the room before booking but otherwise enjoyed the external amenities.

The hotel staff were very friendly, going out of their way to make sure my stay was good. Rooms are clean with good views. Very comfortable. Great location on Nangthong Beach. Excellent happy hour with a great live band at sunset. A good value for the location, comfort, and service.
