A scenic, well-connected stay with outstanding staff and a great view.

The hotel’s hilltop setting provided a lovely view from the balcony, making mornings and evenings feel especially special. The bus stop right in front of the hotel was extremely convenient for getting around Vevey without hassle. The personnel were invaluable and genuinely a joy to talk to, which made the stay feel welcoming.

The only downside was the toilets/bathroom, which felt a bit too plastic. It didn’t ruin the stay, but it slightly reduced the overall comfort/quality impression.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, gave us great tips about what to see and where to eat. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and very pleasant. It's a little far from the center and the lake, but the bus takes you there in no time. So it's not a minus, also given how economical the accommodation is.

The service from the manager. He was very helpful with use of the kettle and getting cold water. He was friendly, approachable and very helpful.

Unfortunately it was very hot weather during our stay and there was no air conditioning. However, we were provided with a portable fan, which helped a little.

Nice and simple hotel with a good view.

I chose Hotel Abaca because it was close to the Charlie Chaplin museum. Yes it is close. The hotel was a small place but the area is safe and easy to get around to and from the city of Vevey. Our room had a great view to see the city and Lake Geneva. Small but adequate breakfast. Nice and comfort room and wonderful friendly staff.

All was good and We had no complaints.

The bed was comfy and the view was beautiful. The location was also not far from the centrum. It was also nice that we could use the bus free with our cards provided by the hotel. Was also clean

Vevey is a cute lake side town and for us the main attraction was the Chaplin Museum.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.On our arrival we were offered coffee and the next morning too. We really appreciated this lovely gesture.Thanks for everything !

Very friendly and helpfully staff. Great place to stay for a few days. Easy to get around with public transport pass that is payed through the city tax.

Lift does not reach the top floor and suitcases need to be carried up a flight of stairs. The manager at the hotel offered his help with carrying the luggage up the stairs.

Excellent value, and a superb human touch.

Breakfast: Not much of a choice, but that only becomes a probem after a while. And I would lie if I would claim to be affected - usually cycle between 2-3 types of breakfasts anyway. Wat was offered was good. There were fruits, bread, cheese and jam, and muesli. And obligatory coffee. And a microwave. Location: Not in a city centre but well served with a frequent enough bus right next to the hotel. Staff: The best part. A receptionist (and probably more) was the most kind and helpful person I met in a long wile. Calm, up to the point, and boy did he care. I came to early, happy I was allowed to leave the baggage at the reception and his main concern was that he was not able at that time to produce touristic cards.

It is a bit of a letdown that the top floor is not accessible with an elevator so one needs to carry baggage one floor up. besides that, all was fine.

Great value for money for an overnight or two night stay!

The gentleman at the reception was lovely and super helpful. Gave us tips and information on what to see around the city as well as local information. Also gave us two discount cards for the main attractions which were a huge help!

Nothing really! Just perhaps clearer details on how to get to the hotel. If arriving by train, there is a local train (3 mins) to the hotel from the opposite side of the 'city' entrance/exit of the main station.

Very good value for money hotel!

Best value for money hotel in all of our Switzerland trip. Free (though a bit tight) parking, small but clean room, and informative staff about what we can do around. It's not much, but it met our overall expectations.

It's really far from anything interesting. There's not much to do at night, nothing is really in a walking distance, but I guess it's something we knew about beforehand so wasn't too important for us
