Hotel Villa Laurus

Breakfast was excellent. Hotel situated in a charming and quiet location. No public transport but not too far from main roads and the centre. Being elderly and without car I found it a little far. Reception and help excellent

Distance a little inconvenient for an elderly guest without private transport

Breakfast was great, location was central to town but out of the way so it was not crowded.

The parking situation in the area the hotel is is pretty brutal.

Pleasant and comforable accomadations in a very nice but predominantly residential area. Very good breakfast, nice pool, relaxing atmosphere.

A little bit out of town, so if you do not have a car it is a bit of a walk to the bus or to get into Merano.

The best part about Hotel Villa Laurus is the breakfast in the morning. There is a great variety of unique and tasty dishes. I also really enjoyed the pool table, common area, and lobby space. There are also funny signs next to the elevator :)

Unfortunately, this hotel lags behind industry standards. There was no refrigerator, air conditioning, or bidet in the room. It seemed like the lobby and bottom part of the hotel had been renovated, but the rooms were much more dated. Our room looked out unto a construction site. Additionally, we had an initial odd interaction with the staff. The receptionist initially told my partner that he could not charge his car in the garage because other people were charging their E-bikes. But when we returned from dinner, the same receptionist was helping other customers to charge their electric car. It was unclear why we were told no, but the others were told yes. To the staff’s credit, when he asked again in that moment, they did allow him to charge his car along with the other customer, but the whole interaction was a bit strange.
